Twenty-four

It was so disgusting. We all took a drink of the poly juice potion. Hermione and Ron are two people we saw walking, and Harry and I are two random people walking not far behind them.

Hermione and I walk into the womens bathroom.

We both get in line at a different stall. We get in and stand in the toilet water.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I flush the toilet and everything starts spinning.

I step out of a fireplace. People are getting taken.

I catch up to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. They're looking at a statue of muggles.

We get in an elevator. A man stops it from closing.

"Reggie, it's still raining inside my office. It's been two days now." He says to Ron.
"Have you tried an umbrella?" Ron says.
"You do realize I'm going downstairs, do you now."
"Downstairs?"
"To interrogate your wife." Ron doesn't say anything "Now if my wife was being interrogated and I was asked to do a job, I'd do it. You have one hour." He says.

He leaves and the elevator moves.

"Oh my god." I mutter
"What am I going to do? My wife's all alone downstairs."
"Ron, you don't have a wife." Harry says.
"Right."

We get to level 2. Hermione tells Ron what spell to use and he leaves.

"I say if we don't locate Umbridge by the hour we come find Ron and come back another day." Harry says.
"Deal." I say.

The door opens and Umbridge is there. I have to hold back a laugh at the odds of it.

"Ah Travis sent you didn't he?" Umbridge says to Hermione. "Im so glad you've finished what Travis asked you to do early so you can help me, Susan. We'll head right down." She says to me. I nod.

"Albert, were you getting out?" She says to Harry. He walks out without a word.

Umbridge takes us down to the courtroom. They're getting ready to interrogate "Ron's" wife. Poor woman must me terrified.

I feel bad that her real husband is locked in a closet for right now.

Umbridge begins talking. I can feel an evil in the air. She has the locket on.

"Reggie." The wife, Mary says looking to the distance. I look over. Harry and Ron are there.

Harry pushes Ron out.

Umbridge continues. She holds up her wand and says Mary stole it from someone.

Merlin that vile creature.

"You're lying." She says. Harry nods in my direction. We both pull out our wands.

"What on Earth are you doing?" She says.
"You're lying, Dolorus." Harry says.

I stand up. She gives me an odd look.

"And you mustn't tell lies." I say feeling the polyjuice potion begin to wear off.
"Stupefy!" Harry yells.

Umbridge passes out.

I rip off the locket. We all start running.

"It's Y/n and Harry Potter." Mary says.

Dementors appear.

"Shit run!" I yell. We all run to the elevator. The dementors all pile up at the door as Harry and I block them.

"Expecto Patronum!" I yell reaching to my happiness. I didn't have much time to think about how it happened to be Draco.

They fly back and I sigh.

By the time we get off Hermione is back to her normal self.

We keep our heads down as we shuffle out.

We watch Ron get kissed and then him turn back as he does so.

"It's the Potter twins!" People begin to yell.

"Shit." I mutter.

We run as spells are being thrown at us.

I see a spell come for me. I don't have enough time to block or dodge it.

Right as it's about to hit me, a small white light absorbs it. I sigh as I look at the bracelet. Draco.

The fireplaces begin to close. We jump in one last minute. Hermione takes our hands.

Something seems to go wrong as we're tumbling through trees in the middle of nowhere.

I stand up and my head hurts really bad.

"Guys?" Harry calls out.
"Yeah?" I say.
"Are you okay?" He says.
"Yeah, I think." I say.
"Mione?"
"Yeah."
"Ron?"
"Help!" Ron yells.

We quickly run over to him. He is really badly cut.

I look away unable to watch.

Hermione calls for her bag and begins to search for something.

She puts a mysterious thing on him and it seems to cure itself.

"I couldn't go there. He traced it." Hermione says not making much sense.

Hermione walks around setting a protection spell around us while Harry and I charm a tent. We make it work.

After we settle down a bit, Harry and I go out to destroy the locket. Nothing is working. It's making me quite annoyed.

"We can try it later." I say. He nods and puts it on. Harry sits outside and I notice Hermione go to talk to him. I go inside to check up on Ron.

"Hey Weasley." I say.
"Hey." He says.
"You feeling alright?"
"Yeah, just fine." He says.
"Good."

"What did you do?" He asks.
"What?"
"Earlier. That spell hit you. But it disappeared."
"Oh that. So when Draco sent me the letter he also included a birthday gift." I lift my sleeve to show the bracelet. "He charmed it with a small protection spell.
"That's nice of him." He says.
"Yeah." I say.

I hear Harry yelling at someone.
"I'll be back." I say running out.

"Take it off." Hermione says. Harry takes the locket off.

"Better?" Harry nods.
"What's happening?"
"The locket makes you not yourself. It makes you angry and upset." Hermione says.
"We'll have to take turns wearing it." Harry says.
"Yeah."

Hermione takes it a couple hours that night then I do.

I hate having it on. It makes me feel so wrong.
