Twenty- Nine

"Hey you lot, I've brought you a surprise." Neville says.
"It's cooking I hope." Seamus says. "I'll be a lot more surprised if I can digest it.

Neville steps out of the way and Harry and I step out.

The room fills with claps and cheers. We climb down the stairs and people coming running to hug us.
"You look lovely." Luna says pulling away from our hug.
"So do you." I say.

"Okay, okay let's not kill them before you - know- who." Neville says. "What's the plan?"

I look at Harry to explain.

"Uh okay well there's something we need to find." Harry says.
"It's most likely hidden in the castle and it'll help defeat Voldemort." I say.
"Alright what is it?" Neville asks.
"We don't know." Harry responds.

"Where is it?"
"We don't know." He says.
"I know it's not much to go on."
"It's nothing to go on." Seamus says.
"We think it has something to do with Ravenclaw. It'll be small, easily concealed. Any ideas?" I say.

"Well there's Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem." Luna says.
"Bloody hell." Ron mutters and I hit his shoulder.
"The lost diadem of Ravenclaw, hasn't anyone heard of it. It's quite famous." She says.
"Yes, but Luna it's lost for centuries now there isn't a personal life today who's seen it." Cho says looking at her.
"Excuse me could somebody tell me what a bloody diadem is?" Ron says.
"It's a sort of crown, like a tiara." I say looking at him.

Someone walks in. It's Ginny.
"Harry." She says.
"Hi there." Harry says.

I move out of their way.
"Six months she hasn't seen me and it' like I'm not there, I'm her brother." Ron says.
"She's got lots of those. There's only one Harry." Seamus says. I laugh as Ron gets annoyed.

"What is it Ginny?" Neville asks.
"Snape knows. He knows Harry and Y/n were spotted in Hogsemeade."
"Shit." I mutter as they all turn to look at us.

"To hell with it." I say.

Snape summons all the students. He says Harry and I have been spotted.
"Now should anyone, student or staff aid the Potters they will be punished. Anyone with knowledge of these events and fails to come foward will be treated as equally guilty."

He then walks up and down the rows of students asking if they know anything. He stops and stares at the group.

Harry and I step out and everyone turns to stare.

"It seems that despite your exhauted strategies you still have a security problem headmaster." Harry says. I smile as the doors open and the order walk in.
"I'm afraid it's quite extensive." I say.

"How dare you stand where he stood?" Harry says. The students around all step back. "Tell them! Tell them how it happened that night! Tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man who trused you, and killed him!" Harry yells.

Snape pulls out his wand and I do the same as Proffesor McGonagal stands by us.

The students all move back even more.

McGonagal throws spells that he deflects. He vanishes away breaking the glass windows.
"Coward!" She yells.

The students cheer as McGonagal turns the lights on.

"Y/n. Harry." I hear the unforgetable voice whisper. Harry does too.

The room gets dark.

A girl screams. I make my way to her. Then another screams. We start walking towards her.

"I know that many of you will want to fight." Voldemorts voice trails across the room. "Some of you may even think it's wise. But this is folly. Give me the Potters. Do this and none shall be harmed. Give me Y/n and Harry Potter and I will leave Hogwarts untouched. Give me them and you will be rewarded. You have one hour."

The lights come back and all the students back away from us as Harry and I look at eachother.

"What are you waiting for? Someone grab them." Pansy yells pointing at us. Ginny jumps infront of Harry.
"Then come grab me." I say looking at the girl. Hermione moves to stand by us like a sheild.

Many others follow.

"Students out of bed!" Filch yells coming in.
"They are meant to be out in here you blithering idiot." McGonagal says.
"Oh sorry, ma'am."
"Actaully your arrival is quite opportune. If you would I would like you to please lead Ms. Parkingson and the rest of the Slytherin house to the dungeons."

He does and Harry and I run to McGonagal.
"I suspect there's a reason for your return, what is it?" She asks.
"Time, as much of it as you can get us." Harry says.
"Do what you can do, I'll secure the castle." She says.
"Thank you." I say. We turn around.
"Wait." We turn to her. "It's good to see you." I smile at her.
"It's good to see you too, proffesor." I say.

"Hold the fort, Neville." Harry says.

Harry and I run up the stairs.
"Guys." Ron says.
"What?"
"We've been thinking, it doesn't matter if we can find a horcrux." Ron says.
"What?"
"If we can't destroy it."
"We've been thinking, you destroyed Tom Riddle's diary with the basilisks fang. Well, we know where we might find one."
"Take this so you can find us when you're done." Harry says handing them the map.

We run upstairs going to Ravenclaw's common room.

Luna chases us up the stairs.
"We're a bit occupied at the moment." Harry says.
"You're wasting time."
"Later Luna." Harry says.
"What is it?" I ask stopping.
"Y/n." Harry says.

"Do you remember what Cho said about the diadem?"
"There's not a person alive who's seen it?" I ask. She nods.
"It's obvious. You talk to someone who's dead."

Harry walks down to where we're standing.

I look out the window and see a shield go around Hogwarts.

We follow Luna.

"If you're to find her you'll find her down here." She says.
"Aren't you coming?" I ask.
"I think it's best you three talk alone." She says.

Harry and I keep walking down the empty corridor.

We see a woman. A ghost.

"You're the gray lady, the ghost of the Ravenclaw tower." Harry says.
"I do not answer to that name." She says starting to leave.
"No don't go. What my brother meant is Helena." I say. She stops.

"You're Rowena's daughter."
"Are you a friend of Luna's?" She asks.
"Yes. She thought you might be able to help us." I say.

"You seek my mother's diadem."
"Yes." I say.
"Luna is kind unlike so many others. But she was wrong, I cannot help you." She says flying through us.

"Please. We want to destroy it!" I yell after her. She stops. Behind her I can see the shield being attacked.
"That's what you want too right?" Harry asks.
"Another swore to destroy it many years ago. A strange boy with a strange name."
"Tom Riddle." I say.
"But he lied."
"He's lied to many people." Harry says. She flies right infront of us.
"I know what he's done! I know who he is!"

"We can destroy it once and for all." I say. "Please, just tell us where he hid it."
"Please." Harry begs.

"Strange." She says circling around us. "You remind me a bit of him." She says. I feel myself grab my scared hand.

"It's here in the castle, in the place where everything is hidden. If you have to ask, you'll never know. If you know, you need only ask." She says flying away.
"Thank you." I call out after her.

Harry and I turn around running.
