Secrets || Draco Malfoy

Nineteen

As we walk Harry and I are glaring at eachother.
"Can you knock that off?" He asks.
"What?" I ask him annoyed.
"Being on his side."
"I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
"Harry, you just used a spell that didn't even exist on him. He could've died." I say stopping.

"He tried to kill Dumbledore!" He says his voice rising.
"He doesn't want to!" I say matching his voice.

"Both of you. Stop." Dumbledore says.

We walk away in silence until we get to Dumbledores office.

Dumbledore makes us see a memory. It's Slugghorns memory with Tom Riddle. (i'm not writing it cause it's too much)

Harry and Dumbledore start talking about the Horcruxes while I sit and think.

Each kill separates a part of his soul. He talked about making seven.

"The diary." Harry says shaken up.
"But he destroyed that." I say.
"Yes, he did."

Six.

"And there's this ring." Dumbledore says leaving a ring on the table. "I'm taking care of it." It's what is making his hand black.

Five.

"Horcruxes leave memories." Harry and I look at eachother and reach out to touch it getting Tom's visions.

I step back.

"You found another one?" Harry asks.
"Yes, but I can't destroy it alone. And you two are here to help." He says. I nod.

Snape walks in. Dumbledore tells him we're leaving. Snape gives me a strange look.

Dumbledore grabs both me and Harry and we aparate.

I steady myself as Harry looks like he's going to be sick.

I look around we're in a rocky cliff thing. Cave maybe?

I look around confused.
"Why would he hide something here?" I think outloud.

"Follow me." Dumbledore says.

Harry and I do.

We walk to a wall. Dumbledore pulls out a knife and cuts his hand. I watch him confused. He runs his bloody hand on the rock. It opens.

"I could've done it." Harry says.
"I know but you play a more important part." Dumbledore says looking at us both.

We're standing on one side. There's water in the way to the other side.
"Are we swimming?" Harry asks.
"No."

Dumbledore pulls out his wand and a chain comes out of the water.

"You're going to have to pull it out." Dumbledore says to us.

I walk over to it and pick it up.
"Come on now." I say to Harry. He comes up behind me and grabs it. We start to pull.

We pull a boat out of the water.

We get into the boat and get to the other side.

There's a bowl like thing with a thing as a cup.

"I have to drink it all." Dumbledore says. "It might paralyze me, make me forget why I'm here. It doesn't matter. Don't let me stop."
"Why you? We'll drink it." I say.
"Because I'm older. And much less valuable." He says looking at his hand.

Harry and I look at eachother worriedly.

Dumbledore takes a sip and falls. Harry stands him up. I give him the drink.

It doesn't take long for Dumbledore to lose it. He starts crying.
"Please. I don't want to." He cries to us.
"You have to." Harry says.
"Come on. Drink." I say putting the water to his lips.

He drinks and finishes it. Harry grabs the horcrux locket. He hands it to me.

"Water." Dumbledore says. I take the cup from him.
"Aguamanti." I say. It fills up with water and just as quick it disappears.
"Oh god." Harry mutters. He takes the cup from me and runs to the water.

He fills it up and hands it to Dumbledore. I wouldn't drink it.

Dumbledore does. Harry and I stand back away from him.
"Y/n." He says.
"Yeah?"
"I know you care about Draco but he's bad." Harry says.
"No, Harry. Draco is being forced to do it. He doesn't want to. It's not his fault." I say.
"What?"
"Voldemort is making him do it. Saying he's going to kill him if he doesn't. It has him stressed out of his mind." I say. Harry looks down.
"I'm sorry for almost killing your boyfriend." Harry says with a smirk. I roll my eyes.
"You're forgiven, but he's not my boyfriend."
"Yet."

We both laugh.

"Y/n." Harry says pointing behind me. I turn around. There's this weird creature there.

We both pull out wands out.
"Reducto!" I yell. The creature flies back into the water. Harry and I look at eachother confused.

Suddenly many more start coming at us.

Harry and I fight side by side. We're trying to protect ourselves and Dumbledore.

Suddenly, it grabs Harry. Another grabs him too and they start dragging him into the water.
"Y/n! Help!" Harry yells. I try getting away from my creature. It grabs me. I yell.

I start kicking. It's not working.

I'm getting dragged. I see Harry fighting to keep his head up.

My legs get pulled in. It's cold. I scream.

They pull me under. I try to fight but I know there's no point.

I'm going to die.

This is it. Harry and I. The chosen ones. The survivors. Dead. Drowned by mermaids.

It's getting hard to hold my breath. I can hear Harry kicking and fighting. I reach my hand towards him and hold his hand.

Together.

I close my eyes again. I think about what makes me calm and happy. Draco.

His calm blue eyes. Them dancing across my face when we talk. He'd tell me to fight. He'd tell me to not lose to a couple of mermaids.

I push deep down inside.

"Ascendio!" I yell.

Harry and I go flying up. We fall to the ground.

Dumbledore starts using fire to keep the rest away.
