It was a busy day at the mall. So busy, in fact, that Rachel couldn't believe that it was only noon. Rachel felt like she wasn't going to get her lunch break because of the constant flow of customers. She was working in the jewelry section for the day. She hated the jewelry section more than any part of the department store. Most of the customers were old ladies or moms with their young daughters. She would occassionally get the dad buying his son a watch or a nice pair of earrings for his wife, but it was pretty rare.

She also had to act like she knew anything about the jewelry that was on the counter. A few of her classmates stopped by to chat for a few minutes, and that made her day feel less hectic. A coworker took over her shift so that she could get lunch, and she definitely got weird looks from people in the food court as she took off running to Scoops. Robin seemed exhausted. She told Rachel that Steve was in the back, and she was way too excited to see him even though it had barely been an entire day.

"My dad almost killed Mike last night," she said.

"What happened?"

"I don't really know. But I think that he's having a hard time dealing with El and Mike being together," Rachel said. She explained the things that were happening and stopped when Steve gave her a look.

"What's that look for?"

"Nothing. Well, he never really had that problem with us. Ow!" She smacked him in the head.

"He never really had that problem with us because we started dating in high school, and we were both driving. Have you forgotten the amount of times that we have driven to the middle of nowhere to go star gazing?"

Steve motioned for her to be quiet as there was something going on at the front. As soon as they could hear Dustin's voice, Steve jumped up from his chair and tugged Rachel out of the break room.

"Henderson! Henderson! He's back! He's back!" Steve exclaimed.

"I'm back! You got the job!"
