The group of five spent the night in the elevator. Someone would figure out that it was broken, and they would hopefully be there to fix it so that they could leave. Rachel was tired and stressed about the entire situation. In her mind, Hopper would have realized that one of his daughters didn't come home or leave a note on the counter and he would be trying to find her. It was just her luck that he was stuck in the middle of the woods with Joyce and a Russian. She was so stressed out that she resorted to sitting in a corner and crying. Steve walked over to her and gave her a hug.
"It's gonna be okay," he said.
"How do you know that? We're trapped and we have absolutely no way of contacting anyone. There's no service because we're probably six thousand feet under ground. We're screwed."
"We don't know that for sure."
Dustin walked over to Steve and Rachel watched as they climbed up the elevator to argue. She was left to deal with Robin and Erica, which she didn't really mind. Erica was banging the can of green liquid against a metal barrell.
"Hey, hey! Careful, careful! We don't even know what that is," Robin explained.
"Exactly! It could be useful."
"Useful how?"
"We could survive down here a long time without food. But if the human body goes too long wthout water, it could die."
Rachel got up and walked over to the two.
"I hate to break it you, but this is not water," she tried to explain.
