(a.n: Pls don't murder me after reading this chapter :-)

Jackie's Point of View

My hands began shaking violently as I stared down at Harry's motionless body beneath me, his head covered in glass from the lamp.

Blood began trickling from his nose as he started twitching, and the blood flow didn't show any signs of subsiding.

My brain went into panic mode and I immediately felt remorse for what I did.

I mindlessly searched our small motel room for a phone, Harry's cellphone, anything.

I bent down above Harry, sliding my hands in the pockets of his tight jeans in hopes of finding his cell phone so I can get him help.

Nothing.

I walked over to the shopping bag full of clothes that was sitting near the bathroom door where Harry set them down I assumed.

I shrugged the damp towel away from my body, quickly glancing over at Harry's body across the room to make sure he wasn't somehow awake all of the sudden.

I rummaged through the shopping bag, pulling out a fitted lilac sweater and a pair of black skinny jeans.

I guess I have to give him props, he can pick out a decent outfit.

I pulled the sweater and jeans on in one quick motion and stumbled over Harrys motionless body and towards the motel room door.

I pushed the door open, and without much hesitation ran towards Harrys van.

Once I reached the van I pulled open the drivers door and immediately began searching for Harrys cellphone amongst the mess in the van.

I rummaged through endless scattered cd"s and miscellaneous items on the vans floor board, until finally, I spotted Harrys iPhone right in the midst of the mess.

I snatched it from the floor and pressed the home button, no response, shit, its dead. I slammed the dead iPhone against the steering wheel in frustration, causing the horn to sound loudly.

"Are you alright love?" A unfamiliar voice sounded beside me.

Does he really care? He doesn't even know me.

I glanced up from the steering wheel, turning my head to where I was facing the unfamiliar face.

"I've been better." I grumbled down to the guy standing on the pavement beside me.

He frowned slightly in response, "you seem a bit worked up, do you need anything?"

I pondered his question carefully, because yes I do need a working phone but, I didn't want to trouble him

"Do you have a cellphone?" I questioned the mysterious boy carefully.

"Yeah..do you need to use it?"

"Yes please" I replied sweetly, grabbing for his phone as he took it from his back pocket.

I turned his phone on in one quick movement, resulting in the screen lighting up revealing the boys lockscreen.

It was a picture of the boy, a brunette was standing beside him. He had his arm clutched tightly around her waist and both of them were bearing cheeky smiles. The picture screamed happy, it was almost depressing to look at as I subconsciously thought if anyone could ever make me feel as happy as the girl in the picture.

"Your girlfriend is very pretty" I glanced up from his phone, looking at him for a response.

His face was blank, no warm smile, no expression what so ever.

"thanks" He barely mumbled back.

I took his cold response into consideration and decided not to mention anything else about the picture.

Oh shit that's right, Harry.

I calmly dialed 911, not really knowing what to say, or expect.

"911, what's your emergency"

My mind immediately went in all different directions, realizing if I told the lady on the other end what actually happened than it could stir up some conflict.

"I, uhm, he uhm, my friend..." I paused collecting my thoughts.

"My friend accidentally dropped a lamp on his head and he's unconscious" I mentally cringed at my quick lie, quickly realizing that no one, especially not a 911 responder would believe my story.

I glanced outside of the van, noticing the boy whose phone I had was standing a good distance away from the van, allowing me some privacy I assumed.

"And just how did he drop a lamp on himself?" The lady on the other line seemed humored, as If I was prank calling her.

"It slipped" I replied unsurely, anticipating her response.

"Ah yes, well, what is your location?" The lady sounded impatient yet, still willing to help.

I looked up at the motel sign that held the name of the motel we were stating at, "It's called 'Starlite motel' and he's in room 17" I replied, quickly glancing at the number on our motel room door to ensure I have the right room.

"Okay, an ambulance will be there shortly." And with that, the lady hung up and the line went silent.

I slowly lowered the boys phone from my ear, clicking it off before I handed it back to him.

"Here you go, I can't thank you enough" My words sounded towards the boy whom didn't seem to notice I was done with his phone.

"Ah yes, you're very welcome, love"

I noticeably grinned at his use of the word love.

"So, how long are you staying here?" I questioned the boy, mentally forgetting that there was a very unconscious Harry in our motel room.

The boy smiled humorously before responding.

"Well considering I own this place, probably till forever." He mildly chuckled at his answer.

My mind instantly went hazy, he didn't look much older than 25, much less old enough to own and a run a motel, in Vegas especially.

"Wow, I would have never guessed" I replied, feeling suddenly somehow smaller next to him.

Ambulance sirens suddenly sounded off loudly in the distance, clearly nearing the motel.

The boy and I simultaneously looked towards the direction the sirens were coming from.

"Well that's me" I stated worryingly.

"That's who you called?" He questioned somewhat nervously.

"It's a long story, well, I gotta go" I stopped mid sentence, motioning towards door 17, "I didn't catch your name?" I questioned as I began walking towards the motel room.

"Louis"

"It was nice meeting you, I'm Jackie by the way" I waved Louis off before entering the motel and tending to Harry.

Making friends is good right?
