This may not make much sense...

Also,

This may be a bit provoking...

Whenever we watch an action pack movie, it usually has a similar plot to the others.

Where the main protagonist has to defeat the antagonist.

In the end the protagonist wins even if sacrifices ended up being made.

In the end we see the antagonist get what there punishment for their crimes whether that be prison, torture or death.

Which gives everyone a burst of relief and calmness.

The hero has won, and now everyone is safe from harms way.

the villain is getting exactly what they deserve; Karma.

I am one of those people whom are thrilled by the happy endings however

sometimes I find myself feeling sympathy towards the villain.

when their backstory are always so...sad.

It never can excuse the things that they have done. No.

They hurt others and that will scar them for the rest of their life's no matter what.

Then why feel sympathy?

Simple

We aren't born good or bad

We only make decisions wether if there were right or wrong because in the moment we believe that we're right even if we're wrong. No one showed us any different.

It was what we were taught and how we were raised.

Not knowing the difference between right or wrong doesn't make what we do is right.

No, that is only an excuse.

It just show that all of us are only human.

And

That

we have no idea

what we're doing with our lives.
