A Week Prior

"Yes!" Omega jumped up from her seat, a smile spread across her face. This was the third game that day she had beaten Hunter in Dejarik. Three out of five games wasn't half bad.

Hunter leaned back and smiled slightly. "Good job, kid."

Cid hadn't found another mission for them yet so The Bad Batch had been spending their days either on the Havoc Marauder or in Cid's bar. Hunter, however, was starting to grow bored of the whole thing. From being a soldier he had grown used to moving fast; being constantly on the move jumping from one thing to the next.

"You know," Omega said, "I was starting to think you were just letting me win but now I think I'm just better at the game."

Hunter chuckled. "I used to play this game a lot more when I was younger, I've just grown a bit rusty."

"Sounds like you're just trying to come up with an excuse," Omega said, putting her hands on her hips and smirking.

"Did Omega win against you again?" Echo asked as he, Tech, and Wrecker walked into the bar. Hunter looked over at them before smiling.

"Something like that."

Wrecker laughed and gave Omega a high five. "Good job, Kid! To celebrate your victory let's go and get a treat."

Omega looked over at Hunter, her eyes wide. "Can we?"

Hunter sighed before nodding. "Just be back soon. Who knows when Cid will have another mission for us."

Omega and Wrecker nodded before they headed for the door but they stopped when Cid called out. "Not so fast Muscles and Tiny, I finally have a job for you."

Hunter got to his feet and walked over to Cid. "What do you have for us this time?"

"I don't know too much but my client needs something that is located on Alderaan."

"Alderaan?!" Echo asked, stepping forward, "That's in the inner rim and is swarmed with imperials. We can't go there."

Cid crossed her arms. "A job is a job and I'm not going to let you all stay here forever. Besides, I was under the impression you needed the money and this is a high paying job."

"We need the money sure," Hunter explained, "but not when it's a suicide mission."

"Don't get yourself in a twist, Bandanna. My client reassured me that this mission will be completely safe. Just a quick in and out."

Echo frowned. "Well if it's so easy why can't your client do it himself?"

Cid shrugged. "I didn't ask but like I said it's a high paying job."

Hunter turned to Omega. "Omega, maybe you should stay behind on this one. Alderaan is right in the heart of the empire and things could turn ugly."

"No," Omega said, crossing her arms, "you promised I would be able to go on missions with you."

Hunter opened his mouth to protest before sighing. "Fine, but you're going to have to follow my orders exactly as I give them. You can't talk back at all and what I say goes. Understood?"

Omega saluted. "Sir yes Sir."

Hunter nodded before looking back at Cid and extending his hand for the chip that held the information of the mission. To his surprise Cid shook his head. "There's no chip this time. All the details you have to memorize. Goggles, listen up."

Tech looked up from his data pad before nodding.

"Alright," Cid continued, "you will have to retrieve a statue in one of the museums that is located in the capital city, Aldera. I believe the museum is called 'The Museum of the High Republic'."
