Meanwhile back in Africa, Audrey was meditating, and Emanuel was sharpening his sickles as he was also eating a sandwich that he made with artisan bread, lettuce, pickles, and salami. Sliced in half, and with the crust removed.
Just then, Audrey heard the pond spit a bit, which broke her trance, and concentration, so Audrey went over to the pond, and found the image of a man wearing a black one eyed Cthulhu mask, that had a glowing green eye that had no iris, or pupil, and also wearing a matching green robes as he stared at the angel who was looking into the pond.
"May I help you?" Audrey asked. "I summon you for a quick emergency, Audrey Fowler angel," the man answered. "If you are looking into the pond, allow us to introduce ourselves. We are the followers of Cthulhu." "I know who you are," Audrey said. "Mr. Christ informed me about you people a year after I became an angel." "I see, well then to cut matters short, I am the Vashire Octavius," the man explained. "I speak for the council for they have no tongues, but the guards do."
"Yikes that must be awful to talk without a tongue," Audrey said. "So why have you contacted me from this pond, Vashire?" "An evil accountant working for God's arch nemesis the Devil is coming to take away our sacred treasure," Octavius explained. "The sniper rifle of Cthulhu. Just after we've chosen a new chosen one to be worthy of it. The guards do not know about this, but they will be informed by our Dullahan when she gets here. Just spy on the demons, and see what they are up to."
"Understood," Audrey said, and the vision in the pond faded. Once she was done talking to the Vashire, Audrey entered the room where Emanuel finished sharpening his sickles, and pulled out some medicine bottles from the cabinet. "What are you digging into the cabinets for?" Emanuel asked. "Just getting something for Wes when we meet him again," Audrey answered. "Speaking of which, get your horse. We're heading back to Saint Paul." "What for?" Emanuel asked. "I just got off the phone with the Vashire of the followers of Cthulhu who said that someone working for the Devil is after their sniper rifle," Audrey answered.
"Aren't Cthulhu, and the Devil allies?" Emanuel asked. "They never met, plus the Devil is way more civilized than Cthulhu, for he has been roaming the ocean for centuries," Audrey answered. "Which is why we're going back to Saint Paul, pick up Wes, and then head out to the maze to protect that sniper rifle, before that accountant gets his dirty hands on it." "And why do we need Wes for this?" Emanuel asked. "He promised not to kill everyone 8 months ago." "Detective Trent has been keeping an eye on him, and he's been in a cell while finishing up on the High School tests he missed," Audrey answered. "I'm sure he'll understand what we need him for when we get back to him. Now let's go." "Alright," Emanuel said. "Let's hope what you said is true."
