"Yeah, I come up here when the cases hit close to home or if I need to clear my mind." You said while looking at the lights of the city.
You let out a sigh as the cold winter air created fog from your breath. The snow came down lightly making you shiver.
Penelope pulled you close while she placed a hand on top of yours, drawing your attention.
"Times are tough and I'm glad your still here with me." You smiled at her and looked down at her hand cupped in yours.
Both your wedding rings glistening in the night light. A single tear fell from your eye as you saw Penelope's eye become glossy.
"I'm here. It's you and me, till death do us part."
