CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"How is it that time after time.. we forgive each other when's it's all said and done. Forgive and forget. Forget and forgive.. I can't stand it"

"You can't just give it up for one stupid accident?" He said back to me.

"IT WASN'T A STUPID ACCIDENT?! I could have died if I had gone an inch faster!" I screamed at him. "And you want to tell me I have no right to be mad at you..?"

"You don't! I've said my apologies! I've said everything! You just don't want to forgive me!"

"Things like this shouldn't be fucking forgiven, it shouldn't even happen!"

"I'm so damn sorry alright!"

"That doesn't-

But I was stopped by him kissing me. I knew I should have just not have kissed him back but I did.. and then I knew I had forgiven him. With a damn kiss..

He backed up from my face after a little.

"God this is a mess" I said sighing. "Listen alright.. I'll let u back in this time but you fuck up again at all! I won't talk to you ever again.." I said to him.

"Alright deal, and there's no way I'll fuck up again" he stated smirking a little.

"This time no fake shit alright.. you like me I like you we are in a relationship. Rules go the same way no cheating or not even a look at some other girl alright" I said smiling a little.

"Your really controlling you know that?" He said. "Kind of turns me on" he said again laughing. "Oh shut up will you" I shoved his shoulder and got out of the car.

"Nice car also.. looks a lot like someone's I know" he said sitting on the hood now.

"Ah yeah, I didn't design any of it.. brother fixed it up" I said awkwardly. "I like it.. wouldn't ever give Steve a compliment but it looks good" he said examining everything.

"We better get back in there you know, I still gotta at least show up to watch "cheer""

"Ahhh yeah your gonna for sure watch cheer alright. And there's no practice today we've got a game" he said taking his pack of cigarettes and shaking them.

"And I'm hoping you can come to it?" He says a little nervous.

"If I come will you win? And no fights!" I said pointing my finger at him. "Yeah, yeah.. no fights" he said smirking.

"I mean it Billy!" I said shaking my finger at him now. "Yeah yeah okay mom" he said laughing. I shoved him a little.

"Yeah I'll come what time is the game?"

"After school, well probably pretty soon considering schools already out right now"

"We'll get in there I'll be in, in a minute."

I still couldn't fully forgive him. I mean I did but I didn't?

and I knew I shouldn't have forgiven him. How could I just move on with it all and forgive and forget.

He acted as if it was just a peace of the past and then acted as him self again. A whole lie of personality.

But then quickly changed as the words had hits my lip.

"I'll let you back in this time.."

How many of those are going to come out of my lips..

I ushered it off into the back of my head and made my way into the school again. Going straight into the big gym.

Steve sent me a glare while he was warming up and I knew what I was in for. Nancy didn't look to pleased also. She sat on the top of the bleachers with her legs crossed and her arms crossed as well.

I felt a little shameful. Or just embarrassed.

I sat down next to her and she sighed and uncrossed her arms.

"You took him back..?" She said angrily.

"Nance- I tried to cooperate. But she didn't want to listen.

"He nearly killed you, you know! God how are you this stupid!" Nancy spoke up. I felt even more shame once she said it. It took a lot to get Nancy Wheeler to burst out on you. And I knew I had no reason to yell at her back.

Some heads turned towards use and turned back to watch the guys warm up.

"Milye.. I don't understand why you would forgive him!" She said.

"I don't know why I did either alright! It's said and done so just drop it?" I said trying to change the subject.

"Drop it? How am I supposed to drop the fact that you could be dead? Dead and out! There would be never coming back from that one. My best friend dead because some dick got upset with his sister!" She said quieter to not let many people here.

"Drop it!" I seethed through my teeth.

"God your ridiculous!" She said and stood up and walked away from me.

I knew there would be more to come. If Nancy's would be this bad I can't imagine about Steve.
