Impure Souls (Hellsing X Owl House)

Chapter One - Luz Noceda

In the aftermath of Millennium's attack on London, the city of London slowly recovers from the attack that has left millions dead. During this time, the Hellsing Organization under the command of Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing continues it's sworn duty to rid the world of monsters. Hellsing's most powerful servant Alucard disappeared after the attack. As all of this happened, Luz Noceda lives life as a street urchin. Her mother was one of the countless lives lost in the attack. As a little girl, she watched as her mother was torn apart by one of Millennium's Nazi Vampires and turned into a mindless ghoul. In the years since that day, Luz lived life as a street urchin, living life on the edge. She had several run ins with the law, spending many nights in jail. One night after being released from jail, Luz walks the empty streets of London in the dead of night. As she looks for a place to sleep, she bumps into a strange looking man. 

???: Hello, miss. What a perfect night, is it not?

Luz: Not interested, asshole. 

???: Don't be so hasty, miss. It's a lovely night.

Luz: Maybe you didn't hear it before. Not interested!

As Luz threatens the man, the man lets out a menacing laugh. Having had enough, Luz pulls out her baseball bat and prepares to attack. As she was about to hit, the man stops the bat in mid swing. His eyes began to glow red as he smiles.

???: What a shame. I was going to have a bit of fun with you. Aw well. Guess I'll just have to kill you. 

As he says this, he gnashes his fangs, revealing himself to be a Vampire. Luz attempts to fight back, but is quickly overpowered. The Vampire grabs Luz by the throat and cackles. 

Vampire: Don't give me that look! I can smell your blood! I bet you'll taste exquisite!

As the Vampire was about to bite down on Luz's throat, a shot rings out in the darkness. The Vampire looks down to see a gaping wound in his chest. Before the Vampire could say a word, he is reduced to dust. Luz collapses to the ground, catching her breath. As she catches her breath, Luz was approached by a middle aged woman smoking a cigarette with a smoking Revolver in her hand. 

???: Heh. Too easy. 

Luz: Who the hell are you?!

???: A little thanks wouldn't kill ya, kid? 

As the woman finishes reloading her Revolver, a woman wearing a police uniform with a left arm made of a mass of writhing black and orange shadowy matter.

???: The Vampire's been taken care of, Seras. 

Seras: Very good, Eda. 

Eda then glances over to the confused Luz. 

Eda: What about her? Can't exactly just leave her here. 

As Eda says this, Seras looks over to Luz. Without saying a word, Seras approaches Luz. 

Seras: What is your name?

Luz: Luz. Luz Noceda. What the hell are you?

Seras: Come with me. 

Left with no other choice, Luz follows Seras and Eda to a military vehicle. Luz then enters the vehicle and was taken to a secure facility. When they reached the facility, Luz was escorted by two military officials to an interrogation room. As Luz sits in the interrogation room, she sighs in annoyance. 

Luz: Hijo de puta....

After some time, a woman with creamy brown skin and long white hair entered the room. She had a pair of circular wire-rimmed glasses with a black eye patch over her left eye. Her attire consisted of a black blazer and black dress pants, a white buttoned shirt, black shoes and a red cravat as well as a green suit. As the woman takes a seat in front of Luz, she introduces herself. 

???: Luz Noceda. My name is Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. I am the head of the Hellsing Organization. 

Luz: Congratulations. Why am I here?

Integra: Because you survived a Vampire attack. 

Upon hearing this, Luz couldn't help but laugh. Integra was not amused by this. 

Integra: You were a survivor of Millennium's attack on London. Your mother was Camilla Noceda. She was murdered and turned into a mindless Ghoul by one of the Nazi Vampires that ravaged London. 

As Integra said this, Luz became hostile. 

Luz: What the fuck do you know about my Mom?!

Integra: And I know you've lived from foster home to foster home until you were cast out into the streets where you had several run ins with the law. At this rate, you'll wind up dead or in jail. And what sort of meaning would your life have then? You would just be a lost soul with nothing to offer. 

Luz: So why am I here? 

Integra: Because I believe you can be of use to me. You remind me of someone I know. I am giving you a rare opportunity to join the ranks of the Hellsing Organization. 

Luz: And if I don't?

Integra: Then you will live out the rest of your life as it is now: bereft of purpose and meaning. Join the Hellsing Organization and you will be given that purpose. What do you say, Luz Noceda? 

As Integra gave Luz her choice, Luz simply couldn't resist the opportunity. 

Luz: All right, Integra. I'm in.

Integra: A wise choice. Welcome to the Hellsing Organization, Luz Noceda. 

In that moment, Luz accepted Integra's offer and became an agent of the Hellsing Organization. For the first time in her life, Luz now had meaning in her life.
