Impure Souls (Hellsing X Owl House)

Chapter Fifteen - Return To Sender

As Owl Squadron got closer and closer to Bobhan Castle, the Sun began to go down. There was silent among the Hellsing Agents as they prepared their weapons for the assault. They had crossed the point of no return. There was no going back. When they arrived at Bobhan Castle, Eda and the rest of Owl Squadron exited the vehicle. They all looked at the ancient castle which was no doubt Belos's stronghold. 

Gus: Okay....this place looks a lot scarier than last time....

Willow: Too late to back out now. 

Gus: Just speaking my mind.....

Amity: As we speak, Belos is preparing to unleash his army of undead monsters on London. We will not let that happen. 

Eda: Blight is right. If we don't stop Belos here and now, then London is going get hit hard. Countless innocents will die as Belos attempts to turn England into his Kingdom of the Undead. Sir Integra sent us on this mission because she believes we can end this threat before it can begin. Owl Squadron, you were selected for this task because you are the best; the elite. You all know what to do. The success of this mission is the key to preventing another attack on London.  In the name of God, impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation. May God and Her Majesty be with us. Amen. 

Owl Squadron: Amen.

With that, Owl Squadron entered  Bobhan Castle. As they kept their weapons ready, there was an uneasy silence. The silence was broken by the sound of groaning. Soon enough, a horde of Ghouls began approaching them. 

Luz: Ghouls incoming!

Luz, Amity, and Gus began firing their Assault Rifles at the Ghouls. Willow cracked her knuckles as she uses her Microfilament Wires to dismember several Ghouls. King barks as he charges in and begins mauling Ghouls as Eda shoots at them with her Revolver. 

Eda: KEEP PUSHING, OWL SQUADRON!

As Owl Squadron pushed through the horde of Ghouls, more Ghouls arrived. Luz tosses a grenade at a group of Ghouls, killing multiple Ghouls. When a Ghoul pounces on Luz, Amity kills the Ghoul with a headshot. Luz smirks at Amity as the two go back to back. Meanwhile, Willow continues killing through hordes of Ghouls with her Microfilament Wires. Gus unloads his Shotgun on several Ghouls. As Owl Squadron continued pushing through the castle, more and more Ghouls arrived. 

Gus: Damn! They just keep coming! 

Luz: Don't let up! We can't stop now! 

Soon enough, Owl Squadron was beginning to get overwhelmed. Owl Squadron was soon pushed into the Great Hall. Gus and Willow barricade the door. The Ghouls quickly began trying to break in. 

Luz: Shit....looks like those Ghouls aren't going to give up so easily. 

Willow: There's no telling how much more Ghouls Belos has at his disposal. 

Amity: And we still haven't found him. 

Eda quickly began analyzing the situation. She knew that the longer Owl Squadron spent fighting their way through the Ghouls, the more they would exhaust themselves and exploit it to his advantage. 

Eda: Some of us are going to have to stay behind to hold the Ghouls back long enough for the rest us to find Belos. Park. Porter. You're with me and King. Noceda, you and Blight go on ahead and find Belos. 

Luz: What?! You can't just...

Eda: That's an order, kid! The most important thing to do is to find Belos and kill that son of a bitch. Otherwise this entire attack will have been for nothing. 

Gus: We'll be alright, Luz. I won't be much use against something like Belos. 

Willow: My wires are better equipped for these Ghouls. 

As Eda, Willow and Gus volunteered to stay behind to hold off the Ghouls, Luz and Amity were unsure about this. While they didn't want to leave their comrades, Luz and Amity knew the mission came first. Eda took a deep breath as she glanced over to the two Hellsing Agents. 

Eda: You all know I ain't one for being sentimental. If Captain Bernadotte were here, he'd laugh at my face. Whatever happens here, I'm here because of my own actions. I became a mercenary and then an agent of the Hellsing Organization. I knew the risk when I took up this life. And to tell you all the truth, I don't regret anything. I lived freely and... I got to meet you.

Luz was touched by Eda's words. There were so many things Luz wanted to say to Eda. It was because of Eda that Luz's life turned around. But despite wanting to thank Eda everything she had done for her, Luz knew there was no time to waste. 

Luz: You better not die, Captain. There's too much I need to thank you for. Stay alive. That's an order. 

Eda: Copy that, kid. 

With that, Luz and Amity moved on ahead while Eda, King, Willow and Gus stayed behind. As the Ghouls began to break down the doors, Eda petted King. 

Eda: Good boy.

Gus: So this is where we make our last stand? 

Willow: So it would seem. It's been an honor to fight alongside you all. 

Eda: Oh we're not dying today, Park. We've got our orders. 

The Hellsing Agents smiled as the Ghouls broke down the door and began approaching him. 

Eda: In the name of God, impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation. Amen. 

Willow/Gus: Amen.

With that, Eda along with Willow and Gus stayed behind to buy Luz and Amity time to search Bobhan Castle and kill Belos. In that  moment, the assault on Bobhan Castle had begun.
