ariel grady, adopted along with her brother by the raptor king himself. experimented on by a lab when she was young, also trying to bring back the dinos...
"have fun babysitting while i babysit a pack of raptors," i read out before laughing and sending him back a photo on my hand. captioning it 'i'm not babysitting yet'. i felt someone tap me on the shoulder, i turned around.
a small girl opened her mouth before looking at her mother. i looked up at her mother and she started to speak before the small girl started to sign to me. 'can we get a photo?' she signed. it was so slow but it made me smile so much.
i nodded my head yes, she shuffled and laughed before smiling and sitting down on the seat next to me. her mother smiled and put her fingers up and counted from three and signed her daughter to smile before taking the photo.
the girl jumped up in joy and went to her mother, she placed the girl on her hip before speaking. "my daughter is deaf and mute, she was so excited to see you, so this is like a dream to her," she explained. my heart melted.
"are you leaving today?" i asked, remembering we were on the train towards the boat. "oh, no we are going to see some of her cousins who are coming over today," the mother explained. "oh my name is michelle and this is maria," michelle introduced.
"oh, please call me ariel," i smiled. i tapped maria on the shoulder lightly, she turned around and smiled. "i hope to see you more around the island maria," i signed as i spoke. she smiled before michelle said goodbye and walked back to where they sat.
i got off the monorail and looked around. my phone quickly started going off making people look over in my direction and i tilted my head down. i answered the phone, "talk to me dearing," i started.
"zara should be there, you might be able to spot her, i'm not a hundred per cent sure," she said. "okay." fucking zara. "have fun, once you've taken them to the hotel, come to the innovation centre," claire ordered.
"uh i have to, either way, i have a talk show i'm going to be delivering, i can't remember about what but i'll look," i explained. "perfect, see you." the call ended and i walked towards the boats, closer towards it.
i look around before spotting zara stood there with a tablet saying 'zach and gray mitchell. i walked over, and noticed the disgust on her face when seeing me. "wow, thanks," i smiled. "so if you're showing them around, why am i here?" zara asked blankly.
"i'm showing them around, you're looking after them while claire's in meetings," i explained. i took a look at my phone and logged into the jurassic world system, i checked what it was i was going to be talking about.
herbivore dinosaurs, this was my favourite thing to talk about, why? because ankylosaurus' are my favourite dinosaurs. i put my phone away and i asked zara. "what do the boys look like?" i asked.
"uh, one is older, with dark brown hair and the younger one as light brown hair," zara explained. i sighed. "so half of the people here. great." i continued to look around before i heard a boy say, "where is aunt claire?"
he was small and he had light brown hair. stood next to him as was a taller teenager, probably the same age as me with dark brown hair. maybe zara is useful for once. the older one looked annoyed and walked over.
the older one looked at the tablet and then looked up at us. "hi, zach" he then motioned to his brother, "grey," he introduced. "ari-" i started before the smaller one, grey jumped up and down and then grabbed ahold of my arm.
"oh my god! you're dinosaur girl!" he shouted. i nodded before zach took his brother's arm off me. "try not to freak her out," he pointed out. "uh, thank you, please call me ariel or ari, i'll be your guide, i know it better than your aunt claire probably does herself," i said, smiling.
"zara will actually be the one looking after you," i added. i turned around to look at the monorail. "first stop the monorail," i jokingly said, making the two guests laugh. after two rails on the third one, we were able to get onto it.
unfortunately, i was stuck next to zara but grey was keeping me entertained. he was turned around in his seat, which i was insanely terrified the train would break down and he'll hit his head on the seat. "favourite herbivore?" i thought for a moment.
"ankylosaurus, their trails are literal killing machines." he nodded. "favourite three-toed dinosaur?" grey asked me. "oh, velociraptors, i mainly work with them," i responded. "you work with velociraptors?" he asked, his mouth hanging wide open.
"yeah, we have four here, blue, charlie, delta and echo. my brother cody, is working there now," i explained. "please! i want to see them!" he said, now gripping ahold of my arm shaking me. i laughed and nodded.
"fine, but we would have to be sneaky about it. you might want to go to the front of the monorail if you want to see the cool view," i pointed out. he got up all excited and stood up before racing to the front.
i leaned back into my chair smiling before noticing the next stop coming up on the screen above. i tapped zach on the shoulder, i waited for him to take out his earphone, "it's your stop," i told him. he nodded before i got up to go get grey.
he was standing right at the front and turned around when i called his name. "it's your stop," i told him. i followed him back to his brother. "i'll probably still be in the innovation centre if you come by, i'm giving a speech about herbivore dinosaurs, probably sounds boring but, you never know," i smiled at grey.
