"Bakugo" I hear someone saying my name. Where the hell am I? The last thing I remember is grabbing hold of some low life villain that had tried to steal some old hags purse.
"He should be waking up soon. Give him time. He was hit fairly hard." I can hear a woman's voice say.
"Will he be alright?" I can hear Shitty hair talking. "And why is his hair like a rainbow? Is that part of whatever quirk hit him?"
What!!! My hair is a fucking rainbow! I must have heard him wrong. God my head hurts. I need to open my eyes but they feel so dam heavy.
"Yes, we believe that is an after effect of the quirk. We're not quite sure what it means yet." The woman's answer to Shitty Hair's question is not very helpful.
"Bakugo!" Shirty Hair yelled. " I saw his hand move! He's waking up!"
I finally open my eyes. Everything is white and way too fucking bright. Great, I'm in the hospital.
"What the fuck happened?" I ask out loud."Bro, you were hit really hard in that fight." Shitty Hair stated. "It turns out there were two villains. Right after you caught the first guy, his partner made the building next to you start to fall on you. But being the manly hero you are, you jumped out of the way still holding on to the perp. He then head butted you and colors came out of his eyes. It was crazy. You dropped him, grabbed your head and collapsed."
I look up at him and can see how downhearted he looks. It hurts me to see him like this.
"Sorry man, I wasn't close enough to help you." He says barely above a whisper as he starts to look up at me. His expression instantly changing. "Woah, bro!! Your hair is changing colors again. It's, it's, it's the same color as mine now!"
"What the fuck are you talking about? Changing colors again!!" I yell.
"Well, Mr Bakugo, your hair has been a full rainbow since you were brought into the hospital. We believe it is a side effect from when the villain hit you in the head. But we aren't yet sure what it means." The woman explained. I turned to see a woman with light brown hair neatly pulled back in a bun. She's wearing a white overcoat over her scrubs. Seeing an MD on her name tag I realize she must be the doctor.
"So how do I find out what the fuck it means and how to make it go away?" I ask, probably way more gruff then I should have.
"Bro, even though I couldn't stop you from getting hurt, I was able to catch that guy. Unfortunately, I was so upset when you collapsed that I might have hit him a little too hard." He says and I swear I see a slight blush cross his face before he puts his hand up behind his neck and looks down.
"So what. He deserved to get his ass beat! Stupid villain." I grumble.
"I kind of knocked him out cold and he hasn't woke up yet." He says with a sheepish grin.
I let out a "tsk" and turn to the doctor. "So how long do I have to stay here?"
"Well, let's see." She says as she looks at my chart in her hand. "Your vitals seem fine. No broken bones. No open wounds. I'm going to examine you now for a possible concussion. Other then that, we are just waiting for the guy who hit you with the colors to wake up so we can find out what his quirk does and what the colorful hair means." She starts the exam, looking in my eyes. The light does hurt my eyes but not too much.
"Good, no concussion. Just colorful hair." She says with a smile. I do not smile back.
Just then the door opens and in walks Mr. Aizawa. He looks even more tired then usual, if that's possible.
"Ah, Bakugo, you're awake. Aaannd your hair is red?" He says with a question. "Interesting.""Wait!! It's changing to black!!" Shitty Hair exclaims.
This is so frustrating. I don't want my hair to be different colors. "Ugh!" I say out loud. "What does this mean? My hair is going to look like who ever I happen to look at? That's fucking stupid!"
"Not exactly, problem child." Aizawa says with a slight smirk. "I just came from speaking with the villain. It seems that you have been hit by an emotion quirk and unfortunately, I can not turn it off. Your hair will change colors to reflect how you feel about people."
"The fuck?!" I blurt out.
"Let me continue." He says quietly. "It will only last about 10 days."
"10 days!! I don't want a dam rainbow on my head for 10 days!!" I yell. This can't get any worse Or so I think.
"There's more to it then that, young Bakugo." He continues. "Yes, it will only last about 10 days, but in those ten days, you have to express your emotions to the people who your hair changes colors around. If you don't, you will lose the ability to have any emotion at all."
He stares at me with a look of concern and I hate it. I don't like emotions. That's why I only show my anger all the time. Easier to deal with that then to actually feel anything. I stare back at him with my mouth still hanging open. I don't even know what to say and I realize that this is going to be a really rough 10 days for me.
