It Just Doesn't Seem Quite Real

My heartbeat never sounded so loud. I'm sure Eijiro could hear it beating as I waited. And then I heard the most wonderful words ever.

"I love you, too, Katsuki." He replied barely above a whisper.

My hand still cupping his cheek made it very easy to lean in towards him. I stared into his eyes until the very last moment. Then, as I closed my eyes, I felt his lips against mine. They were soft and warm and perfect.

The kiss only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like forever. I pulled back, opened my eyes, and couldn't help but smile. The look of happiness on his face was definitely contagious.

"I'm sorry it took me so long." I whisper to him as I grab both his hands with mine. "I've never been good with my emotions."

"It's ok." He replied. "We're here now, and you were worth waiting for. I'm just so happy. I don't even know what to say right now."

"Well then, just listen." I took a deep breath and continued. "I meant every word I said about you. But don't expect me to talk like that all the time. This last week as been so fucking hard for me. I don't want to admit that it was actually beneficial, but I can't lie to myself either. Being able to tell people how I felt actually made me feel better about myself, but at the same time, I was mentally exhausted the whole dam time. It's going to take some getting used to it, but I plan on trying to be more honest with how I feel. To myself, other people, and most importantly, to you."

"Don't change for anyone but yourself." He smiled at me and then softly whispered, "I think you're perfect."

"Me, perfect." I huffed. "That's a laugh. Sure, I'm strong and talented, but I'm nothing like you. For fuck's sake, I couldn't even tell people they were my friends without being hit with a stupid ass quirk!"

"Katsuki" I loved hearing him say my name. "So what if you're a bit rough around the edges. Those closest to you know that you care. You're a man of action. You show us you care all the time. You help us study, you cook for us, and you beat our asses to make sure we train as hard as we can. If you want to get better at talking about how you feel, that's fine too. But no one expects it from you. Especially me, I love you exactly how you are."

"Eijiro." I loved saying his name. "Thank you, but to be honest, you make me want to be a better person. I want to be that person who deserves someone as wonderful as you."

"You already are that person!" He said with such feeling and then leaned back in to kiss me.

This kiss was different. Our first kiss was short and sweet. This one was full of emotion. It started with both of us reaching out for the other. My hands went up around his neck while his hands reached around my waist. I started to thread my hands into his hair when I felt him lick along my bottom lip. The surprise made me gasp, which allowed him entrance into my mouth. I heard myself moan softly as our tongues intertwined, fighting for dominance. My hold on his hair became tighter as I pulled him closer causing for him to moan as well.

After several moments of lovingly exploring each other's mouths, we pulled away panting. Both of us needing to catch our breath. I rested my forehead against his while staring into his eyes. Although I couldn't really see them that close up, I could feel the intensity of his gaze.

"If, ah, we don't, ah, stop," I started to say in between breaths. "Our food...will get cold."

He leaned back with a confused look on his face. "Food, what food?" He asked.

"That's part of the surprise. Sato made us dinner and Mina helped set this all up for us." I grabbed him by the hand and walked us over to the table to eat.

"More surprises?" He asked, with a grin that stretched from ear to ear. "I'm starting to feel a bit spoiled."

"Good." I answered, as we both sat down.
"Eijiro, I want to do things right with you so first I need to ask, officially, will you be my boyfriend?"

He chuckled. "Yes, Katsuki, I want nothing more than to be your boyfriend."

"So, is my hair back to normal now?" I asked

"Oh my gosh, I almost forgot about that." He said as he looked up at my hair. "I was so excited earlier that I didn't even notice, but yes, you're a blonde again. No more red hair." He chuckled.

"I would say thank goodness for no more fucking emotions," I paused to really think about it, then looked him in the eye. "But I'm glad I was hit by that quirk. It brought me to this moment with you."

His eyes opened wide and his face turned a deep shade of red. "Well if that wasn't the smoothest thing I've ever heard, I don't know what is."

"Alright, enough with the sap." I chuckled. "Let's eat."

We enjoyed our meal, along with each other's company, talking and eating as the sun started to set. When we were done with the main meal and getting ready for dessert, I got up, walked over, and turned on the fairy lights. I also turned on some soft music.

Shortly after finishing our dessert I stood up, stepped up next to his chair, and extended my hand. "Care to dance with me?" I asked.

With another blush slowly spreading on his face, he put his hand in mine. "I'd love to."

We stepped away from the table and I pulled him close to me. I let go of his hand to instead slide both of my hands up around his neck. I then felt his hands go around my waist to my back. We slowly swayed to the music as we stared into each other's eyes.

After the first song ended and another began, Eijiro finally spoke up. "I'm still not convinced that I'm not dreaming right now. It just doesn't seem quite real that after liking you for so long, you're now my boyfriend."

"Well you better believe it!" I answer him. "You're mine now, so get used to it." I then leaned in close for what I thought would be a quick kiss.

Ei had other plans. As soon as our lips touched I heard him sigh. He tilted his head to the side slightly and then leaned in closer to me. When I started to slightly pull away, he followed me, not wanting the kiss to end. When I felt him lick my bottom lip, I was so excited, I practically growled at him. I could feel the heat rising between us. Our tongues quickly began to dance in each other's mouths. This may only be our third kiss but I'm already addicted.

From the way he was holding me tight, I'm sure he feels the same way. After several minutes, the intensity of our kissing slowly began to dwindle. Neither of us wanting to go too far.

As I pull back from him, I can't help but whisper, "Fuck, I love you so much."
