After lunch, Xingqiu and Hu Tao went back to school. While they were walking towards their next class, a certain pink haired girl came to them. She was carrying a lot of books. Hu Tao immediately felt her cheeks burning.
It was Yanfei
"Hey guys!! Did you got back from lunch?"
She smiled and greeted them. Xingqiu took a glance beside his friend who was just staring at the girl infront of them. "Heyyy Yanfei" He greeted her back. Hu Tao still haven't said anything until she heard a cough from the boy beside her. "H-hey Yanfei.." she then greeted with a nervous smile. Xingqiu scoffed and decided to tease her. "Woah that's a lot of books you got there" He stared at the girl's hands that was occupied with books.
"Yeah I just came back from the classroom and decided to take these back to the library"
"Isn't it a bit heavy for you? I think Hu Tao can help you with that" He smirked at the girl beside him. When Hu Tao heard that, she nervously laughed and shot glares at her friend. Yanfei just chuckled and said, "Well I do love some company and helping hand with these books if that's okay with you?" the pink haired girl looked at Hu Tao with a smile on her face. Hu Tao doesn't want this opportunity to go to waste and immediately said "I will help you my dear- I... I mean Yanfei"
WHY THE FUCK DID I SAY THAT?!
She mentally cursed.
Yanfei didn't seem to be bothered and just continued to smiled.
"Well then, let's go?"
Hu Tao smiled and nodded, she took some books off of Yanfei's hands. "Have fun you two" Xingqiu wiggled his eyebrows and gave them a cheesy smile.
After they both walked away, he went to his next class.

(time skip after classes)
"Soooo how's your date with Yanfei?" Xingqiu asked Hu Tao with a smirk on his face. "Shut up! It wasn't a date." She replied, face turning red. "Hahahahaha" Xingqiu snickered.
*ding*
Xingqiu's phone rang inside his pocket. He took it and checked if there are any messages. To his surprise, it was a message from his mom.
...
Mom
Hey sweetie, how's school?
Are you going home now?
Hey mom, school's fine,
classes just finished.
Ummm.. Yeah, do you
need anything?
Oh I just want to ask
you for a small favor
what kind of favor?
Well you see, I was wondering
if you could buy me a
cappuccino cause I'm
really craving for it. I'm going to work overtime today and the
shop might be closed once I arrive.
Okay.. I'll buy it for you.
Thank you sweetheart, I owe you a pepperoni pizza

"Was that your mom?"
"Yep"
"What did she say?"
"She's craving for a cappuccino"
"And you're going to buy one, correct?"
"Yeah"
Both of them reached the gates of the building. "Oh, my ride is here" Hu Tao pointed at the red car that is parked across them. "I'll see you tomorrow Hu Tao" He waved at his friend. "Bye Xingqiu, be careful on your way back home" She waved back and made her way to her car.
When she left, Xingqiu made his way to the café that was located near the campus. When he opened the door, he was greeted with the fresh smell of coffee beans. It was soothing for him. He went directly to the counter.
"Hello sir, what can I get you today?" The barista greeted him.
"Hi, I'd like to order one cappuccino please"
"Okay, that would be 800 mora"
Xingqiu handed the money to him. The barista then gave him the receipt. "Name, sir?"
"Uhh.. Xingqiu"
"Okay, please take a seat. Your order will be right with you."
"Thanks"
Xingqiu took a seat near the counter. He opened his phone while waiting for his order.
...
"Order for Mr. Xingqiu?"
He heard his name and stood up. He went to the counter and got his drink. He exited the building, opened his phone and texted his driver to come and pick him up.
Suddenly, droplets of water started to fall from above. He looked up and realised it was starting to rain. He forgot to carry an umbrella with him. He hurriedly ran to the nearest bus stop. Then, the rain started to pour, he was going to get soaked so he ran faster. Just when he was about take another step, he slipped.
*thud*
"Ouch!"
He fell down and hurt his knee. He cursed mentally and winced in pain..
Just when he was about to get up, there was someone who noticed him. The person was holding a navy blue umbrella and it caught his attention. Then the person walked closer to him and reached out their hand. He looked up and locked eyes with ice-blue ones that were sparkling like diamonds
"Are you okay?"
