I looked at Lando and rolled my eyes.

"What, it's a normal question" Lando said in disbelief as I ignored his question.

I began to chuckle softly at Lando's facial expression.

"Are you going to help me or what" I said mischievously.

He grinned "of course ma'am" he got down on his knees as I did.

He tried to make eye contact with me what made my heart beat faster.

"Thank you" I said softly.

Together we started to take everything out of the boxes, without talking but I felt comfortable.

"So... do you really really like him" Lando said out of the blue as I took his cart awards out of the box.

"Yes I do" I said immediately.

He looked at me shaking his head.

I stood up "if you don't believe me I'm fine with it" I said.

"It's not that I don't believe you," he said.

"Then what is it?"

"Nothing, I'm not in the mood for a discussion" he said slightly disappointedly.

"That's good because I don't feel like it either" I said as I made my way to his kitchen.

I had a box full of Lando's cart prizes in my hand. He had won a lot because the box was very heavy. I leaned my stomach against the counter and placed the heavy box on the counter. I started to stand on my toes to see the prizes. I carefully took the prizes out of the box.

I admired the trophies and I took them out of the box with patience. I laid them neatly side by side on the counter. I picked up a striking trophy, it was gold and it glittered. Without knowing it, I read aloud what was written on the trophy.

"I see you are admiring my trophies" said Lando who was standing behind me.

I blushed "admiring certainly not, but I must say you've won a lot"

"Well what can I say" he said with a grin.

"It's better if you don't say anything" I said looking down, hoping he wouldn't see me blushing.

"I see you are blushing," he said.

"Not at all" I said quickly while avoiding his eye contact.

"It's your word against mine lady"

I rolled my eyes, I could have knocked his grin off his face.

"Why are you always so confident?" I asked.

"Me?" he said, pointing to himself with his index finger.

"Yes you."

"I'm not very confident, I doubt myself regularly..." he said sighing.

"Then why do you express yourself like that?" I asked looking deep into his eyes.

"I'm confident in certain things, but sometimes it's better not to show what really touches you."

I nodded and said nothing. I knew there was more to Lando's answer than he revealed, but I don't know him that well and we're not best friends, I don't think he needs to share that with me.

Less than 10 minutes later, Max and James came in. I wiped off the dust on my jeans and stood up. I wasn't ready, but it looked a lot better. I had a big smile on my face with pride.
