Chapter 14

Natsu's POV

I waited for Lucy at the train station because we were going on a job to decode some spell. Happy was with me as well.

"Natsu! I'm here!" I saw Lucy running towards us.

"Yo Luce! The train's about to leave any minute!" I call back to her. She runs a little faster.

"Sorry I'm a little late. I had to refresh myself before I came." She told me. I just smiled at her.

"It's okay! At least you made it! Now hurry or we're going to miss the train!" I told her. She nodded and we headed to the train, getting in on time. Once we got on, I had already gotten motion sickness.

"Urg!" I felt like vomiting.

"Natsu, why don't you lie down on my lap? We are going to be on the train for two hours anyway. Try taking a nap." Lucy suggested. I weakly nodded and placed my head on her lap. Lucy caressed my hair as I was trying to take a nap.

"Natsu, you gonna be okay?" Lucy asked me.

"Y-yeah. I-I'll be f-fine!" I weakly said. No I wasn't.

- 2 hours later -

After two hours of torture on the train, we finally reached our destination. I quickly got up from my seat and rushed off the train.

"I'm never riding a train again!" I say once I get off the train.

"You always say that, Natsu!" Happy says. I just roll my eyes.

"So, where's our clients house again?" Lucy asks. I shuffle through my pocket to find the job request and I pull it out.

"Um, it's here in this town." I reply, looking at the request. I place the request back in my pocket and we leave the train station.

After 15 minutes of walking, and thank god we weren't on a vehicle, we finally reached our clients house. Lucy knocked on the door and a maid opened it.

"H-hello. May I help you?" The maid asked. Lucy smiled.

"We came here because we saw your request to decode a powerful spell." Lucy said. The maid smiled.

"Great, but before you three come in, I need to see you're guild marks." The maid kindly said. We all nodded then showed her out guild marks. The maid nods and let's us in.

"Master is in the main living room." The maid said, directing us to the main living room. We nodded an followed her.

"Master, you have wizards who accepted your request." The maid said to her master as we walked in the main living room.

"Ah, hello there! What are your names, young wizards?" The client asked, smiling at us.

"I'm Natsu, this is Lucy, and this here is my little buddy, Happy." I said pointing at them. The client smiled. The client looked like she's 40.

"Those are nice names! I'm Sakura. So, you know the consequence of this job, correct?" She asked. I nodded.

"Alright, here's the spell." Sakura handed us the paper with the spell we have to decode. I gladly took the paper and showed it to Lucy.

"Seems tricky but we'll do it!" Lucy smiled. I love her smile, but we're on a job right now and I can think about that when we're done.

We left our clients house and went strait to the library. We entered the library and it was really really quiet.

"It's too quiet Luce." I told her, already becoming bored of this place.

"That's how a library is Natsu, it's always quiet." She said as she looked at me, then looked back up at all the books.

"So, let's get started?" She asked, a little eager to start. I nod as we head up to the second floor.

Lucy's POV

We're heading up to the second floor and we head to a bookshelf labeled, "Magic spells." Once we got up, I skimmed the bookshelf to find a book relevant to what spell we have to decode, course, we don't know what kind of spell it is. My eyes finally came across the right book and it was called "Akirame, the powerful spell and it's power." I thought that maybe, and just maybe that this might be the right book so I took out the book and placed it on the table.

"Akirame, the powerful spell and it's power." I read the title of the book. Natsu looked at me a little confused.

"Akirame? Are you sure that's the spell were decoding?" Natsu asked, unsure of what the book meant.

"Yes, I'm positive. Now, are you going to help me or not?" I asked him. Natsu nodded and sat next to me. I opened the book and started to read.

"Akirame is a very powerful spell. It is not to be used on humans and if it were, they and the caster could be killed. Although, the caster wouldn't actually be killed, the caster would just fall into a long coma. If so happens, the caster could also face memory loss." I started. My eyes widen a little after reading "The caster wouldn't actually be killed, the caster will just fall into a long coma." That sentence replayed in my mind. I decided to continue after.

"This spell was used by the black wizard, Zeref. It is unknown for what Zeref used the spell for, but some say that he used the spell to bring sadness to earth." I stopped reading after a moment. Zeref tried to bring sadness to earth? But doesn't it kill humans if it's used on them? I ask my self. Natsu looks at me.

"Luce, keep reading. This book may hold a secret to the spell. I can't say for sure but I have a hunch that this book holds a secret about the spell." Natsu said, hands behind his head. I nodded and kept reading.

"If one wishes to learn the spell, they must word it out. The spell is, ano himo ariwa." I read. The spell I just read was the exact same spell as Sakura-San gave us.

"It's the exact same spell. Ano himo ariwa. Hm, in my perspective, this might not be so hard." I told him, full of courage to decode the spell. Natsu grinned and then nodded.

"Let's get to work!" Natsu said, eager to help. I smiled at him. Does this spell actually hold a secret?

Hai guys! Chapter 14 is here! I'm actually suprised that I got 4 chapters published over spring break! I'm glad I did some writing over spring break! I'm gonna work hard on chapter 15 so I'll update once I finish! Spring break is officially over and I'm sad but I'll manage in school with my friends. I'm not trying to bring down the mood or anything, just saying. Anyway, I have to go. You guys are all awesome! Pinky out!
