Chapter 18

Natsu's POV

I left the hospital that Lucy was staying at and I rented a room at an inn not that far. I couldn't keep my mind off Lucy. If I only hadn't told Lucy about the spell not being casted once Lucy said it, she would probably be okay. I lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling. It's so boring without Lucy. There was a clock on the wall. 12:08 am. I'd thought I would already be asleep by now but I guess having Lucy on my mind right now kept me from doing so.

"Natsu, don't worry. I'll be fine!"

Lucy's voice replayed in my head. Would she really be alright? I didn't want that thought to bring me down so I just shrugged it off. My eyes started to feel heavy. I slowly closed my eyes and fell asleep.

~ Natsu's Dream ~

I was walking around in the middle of nowhere, till I came apon a tree, and under the tree, laid a sleeping Lucy. I walked over to the sleeping Lucy and sat beside her.

"Your cute when you sleep, you know that Luce?" I say, staring at her beautiful blond hair. Lucy then wakes up and looks up at me with her big chocolate brown eyes. I grinned at her and she smiled back. As I was staring into her beautiful brown eyes, they started to change color. They were no longer brown, they were solid black.

"Why did you let me do the spell?" She asked. I was confused at first by what she said.

"H-huh? What do you mean?" I replied. She was staring straight into my eyes. I didn't know what to do at all.

"How could you let me cast Akirame?" She asked, a tear forming in the corner of her eye. I was starting to get worried.

"I didn't want you to cast Akirame in the first place but you did it anyway." I said, wiping a tear that was falling down her cheek. She slapped my hand away and crossed her arms.

"Oh shut it! That's a complete lie! You let me cast Akirame which resulted in me getting injured, badly!" She argued. What's up with her? She then stood up, and marched away from me. I followed her, but she went all the way to a cliff. What the hell is she doing?!

"What are you doing Lucy?!" I yelled, scared if she were to fall.

"Leave me alone! I don't need you! Just leave me be!" She yelled. She then took one step forward, which resulted in her falling off the cliff.

"Lucy!!!!!!!!" I yelled as I saw her, falling to her death.

~ End of Natsu's Dream ~

I quickly shot up from my bed and slightly screamed. A few seconds later I realized it was all just a bad dream. I looked up at the clock on the wall. 5:37 am. I had only slept for 5 hours?! I don't usually wake up at this time. I'd wake up at like 9 am or something! I didn't know what to do in the meantime, but all I could think of was eating. I went over to the mini fridge and grabbed two chicken legs.

Yummy! I kept on eating till there was nothing left. Once I had finished, I plopped myself back into bed.

"Ugh! There's nothing fun to do here!" I pouted. All I could do was stare up at the ceiling. How much longer do I have to sit here, bored? It was 6:09 am. I guess I could look around some nearby shops about now, if they are even open. I put on my regular clothes and headed out.

Geez, looks like almost all of the shops are closed, except for that one there. I was staring directly at the store, but then something caught my eye. I saw a petite dark blue haired girl with a white cat beside her along with a scarlet haired woman and a raven haired guy. Oh no, don't tell me it's the ice princess and the monster! I shivered in fear at the thought of Erza. I started walking over to the shop, hoping that it was them.

"Hey guys!" I said, getting their attention. They all turned around and it was them.

"Natsu-San!" Wendy said, running towards me. I smiled at Wendy before I looked up at Gray and Erza.

"What're you doin' here flame brain?" Gray asked, interested in knowing why I was here.

"Well, something happened to Lucy and-" Gray cut me off with a yell.

"What?! What happened to Lucy?!" Gray yelled. I didn't really want to answer that question.

"Natsu-San, what happened to Lucy-San?" Wendy asked politely, not yelling like Gray.

"S-she got injured by doing a spell-" Gray cut me off again.

"What was the spell?!" He yelled. Gray's yelling was starting to get on my nerves.

"The spell was Akirame." I answered. Gray glared at me and I glared back before I looked back down at Wendy.

"Natsu-San, where is Lucy right now?" Wendy asked. I didn't want to tell her but I need to. Lucy is their friend as well.

"She's in the nearby hospital." I said, starting to look down at the ground. Wendy nodded and Gray rushed ahead of Wendy, Erza and Charle following behind.

"Natsu, come on." Erza said, glancing over her shoulder to look at me. I nodded and followed behind. We had then arrived at the hospital and I led Wendy, Erza, Gray and Charle to Lucy's room. I opened the door and they all made their way in (also btw it's 9 am). Gray instantly rushed over to Lucy's side, and Wendy did the same.

"Lucy!" Gray slightly yelled in a really worried tone. I noticed him wrap his hand around Lucy's and grip it tightly. I growled at Gray for a moment before turning my attention back to the sound asleep Lucy.

"Natsu-San, is Lucy-San going to be alright?" Wendy asked. I shrugged as an answer.

"I don't know. She better be alright." I reply. That thought swirled in my mind. Will she be okay? But Lucy's a strong girl, and she can pull through it. I know she can!

We were still in Lucy's hospital room. I fell asleep since we were there for like, 3 hours. I was laying my head on Lucy. I was asleep for an hour before I woke up again.

"Natsu, c'mon. Were leaving. You can come see her by yourself tomorrow." Erza said as she saw me wake up. I stood up and stretched, then nodded. We all then made our way out of Lucy's hospital room, and left. Erza, Gray, Wendy, and Charle went back to the guild and I went back to the inn I was staying at.

Okay so I'm ending the chapter here. While I was writing this chapter I was trying to make it all Natsu's point of view (POV). Well, I might be updating more frequently because school just ended for me yesterday and I got my phone back as well! :) Also, I've decided that I'm going to have a sequel to this fanfic bc at the end of this fanfic you'd be wondering what will happen next! :3 So, I've started listening to vocaloid 2 weeks ago and I love it! Anyway, sorry if this may be short! 1 chapter left guys! (I'm only going to have 19 chapters so prepare for the best chapter yet!) - Gosh I have so much to say and I could probably go on for hours! :P
