Chapter 17

Natsu's POV

I'm lying there, on the ground in front of Sakura. Sakura walks closer to Lucy. I had some feeling that something was up with her, but I didn't realize before. Sakura glared back at me with evil eyes.

"Heheh! You're little friend here is mine, and there's nothing you can do about it!" Sakura laughs evily. My leg still badly hurts but, I have to save Lucy!

"Oh yeah? Well, I bet I can get up, and beat you to a pulp!" I yell back at her. She looks at me, a disbelief face and turns her head away from me.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ice dragons devouring fang sends a whole lot of pain to wherever it bites you. You couldn't even get up if you tried." She said before she turned her head back around to face me.

"You sure about that? Cuz I'm standing right now!" I yell. Her eyes widen a little before smirking. I had gathered up my strength and pushed myself to get up.

"That's impossible! How can you-" I cut her off as I threw a punch at her. I punched her right in the face.

"Don't underestimate me!" I said as I lit both of my hands up, brought them together and did...

"Fire dragons brilliant flame!" I yell. She then falls to the ground.

"I don't think you're heeling magic won't help you this time!" I say, getting ready to throw another attack at her. She doesn't have anytime to doge my attack.

Sakura then coughed up blood as I hit hit her in the guts. I grinned and pinned her down.

"F-fine! You win, for n-now anyway, Natsu." She said, coughing up a little bit more blood. I smirked and let her go. She slowly got up and smirked at me before walking away.

"We'll fight again sometime, okay Natsu?" She asked. I grinned and then nodded.

"Sure! I need to beat you for real next time!" I reply, eager to fight with her again. She then gathered up all of her strength and walked away, clenching onto her stomach.

I then look back down at Lucy who's still unconscious. I really starting to get worried about her. I then pick her up bridal style again and carry her to the nearest hospital. It took me about an hour to find a hospital and when I did, took her inside.

"My, my. What happened to her?" A lady behind the counter said. I look at her with a worried look.

"She fell unconscious and she hasn't woken up yet." I say. The lady nods and asks for information.

"Her name is Lucy Heartfilia." I tell the lady. The lady nods and writes down Lucy's name on the hospital form.

"Is she a wizard?" She asks, looking at her right hand. I nod.

"Yes, she's a celestial wizard, and she's in the fairy tail guild." I add on. The lady nods again and writes down the stuff I just said on the hospital form.

"Okay, just wait over there with her and the doctors will be right with her." She points over to the waiting room. I nod and walk over, with Lucy still in my arms. I set her down in the chair next to me, her head resting on my shoulder.

"Please be okay, Luce." I whisper to her.

We waited for about 45 minutes and the doctor finally requested for Lucy.

"Lucy Heartfilia?" The doctor asked. I got up, and carried Lucy in my arms over to them. The doctor looked at me with Lucy in my arms and told me to put her in his arms. I did as told .

"Why don't you go home? It's getting late." The doctor said to me. I shook my head and the doctor sighed. I wanted to stay here and be with Lucy.

"I want to stay here." I said.

"Alright then. Um, is Lucy here your girlfriend?" He asks. I blush a little, but then nod.

"Yeah, she is. Oh, and one more thing." I start. The doctor looks at me.

"Please make sure she's okay." I said. The doctor nodded and took Lucy to a hospital room.

"If Luce dies, I would blame myself." I mumbled to myself so the doctor wouldn't hear me.

- About 9 hours later -

It was already 8 in the morning and I was still sitting patiently on one of the chairs in the waiting room. I haven't seen the doctor since last night. I hope Lucy is okay.

I then see the doctor walk inside the waiting room, signaling me to come with him. I jumped up from my chair and followed him out.

"Natsu, I wanted to tell you that Lucy is just fine." He started. I smiled.

"But on the contrary, she's in a coma." He finished. I stopped smiling and I had a frown on my face.

"S-she's in a coma?" I ask. He nods.

"Yes, we don't know when she'll wake up though." He added on. I then started to worry. What if Luce never wakes up?! I say to myself, thinking of what might happen if she didn't wake up.

"How 'bout I take you to her room so you can see her?" The doctor asks, offering me to go see Lucy. I nod quickly and follow him to Lucy's room. He opens the door to Lucy's room and there, lies Lucy asleep in a coma on the bed. The doctor then leaves me. I slowly walked towards Lucy's bed.

I felt something wet drip down my cheek and it was a tear. Not many tears came down but, my heart was shattered when I saw Lucy like this, in a coma.

"Please, stay alive Lucy." I mumble to Lucy softly. I kissed her on her forehead and left her room. I felt one more tear fall down my cheek as I was closing the door.

Ohayo ppl! I'm glad that I finally got chap 17 complete! There are 3 more chapters left before I finish this fanfic!!! You guys still want me to do a sequel?
