Ignoring the sudden pain on my arm, I grabbed my weapon and headed outside with the group.

What we faced was giant, it made the other zombie we encountered before look small.

It was so huge, it had to duck to avoid wrecking the roof, it was wide enough to fill the width of the corridor, blocking all the zombies behind it, their hands the only things visible.

"We gotta get outta here" I said. "We cannot possibly take that thing head on."

"Agreed" David, Etheine, Jerome, Mykel and Vermont said in unison.

The dead was slow, so we grabbed all our stuff, with David and I carrying the plow and spikes, and headed down the floor.

This feels like someone put these things after us I thought to myself. I put that thought away as we reached the grounds. The noise made some of the dead to go back to the roofed area.

"And I thought this would be a smooth escape" David said, groaning,

We fought off the dead as if we have done this all our lives. The most surprising of all was Vermont, which only wielded a butter knife. He refused any weapon. He was moving in such a blur that I only see the dead suddenly dropping with a small stab on their head.

We managed to clear the dead out. We had bloodstains on our clothes. I tried to ingnore the pain in my arm and the smell of rotting flesh in my body as we ran towards the gate.

We heard a loud roar in the distance. We saw the giant literally plowing through the dead around him. It has incredible speed for its size.

We doubled our pace. The supplies we had burdened us, and eventually, the giant caught up with us at the gate.

"I will hold the giant off!" Mykel said. "Thats nice, Mykel, but even you cant take that thing head on" David said. "Do not underestimate me" Mykel said, grabbing his makeshift shield and the stolen weapon. "Get started on that bus. I will distract the giant" he said grimly, as if he already accepted his fate.

We ran as fast as our feet could carry us. We reached the gates, locked it shut, and posted David and Jerome there to warn us.

I got to work on attaching the plows. I lit the blowtorch and started attaching the plow to the front in an angle that it wont hit the ground but will tear anything that comes near it. A sudden pain in my arm made the torch burn inches from my face.I gotta  be more careful I said to myself, continuing to weld the plow in place.

After a few minutes, we heard a loud roar outside. Mykel did not make it. "There is no time to mourn him. He died fighting, the most honorable way to" Etheine said, placing his hand in his chest.

After attaching the spikes, I shouted at them to ready the gates to open. The giant banged at the gates, making it move.

We shoved our things indside, ordered them in, and with David driving and I on shotgun seat, he started the engine. The gates gave way and we saw the hulking mass of the giant coming towards us.

"FLOOR IT!" I said to David. He stepped on the gas pedal.

We sped around the giant. At the back, I saw Etheine opening the doors and shouting something inaudible. Then I say a small object going towards the giant. I looked out of the window. I saw a military grenade stuck in the chest of the thing. Seconds later, it exploded, taking out  a chunk of the giants left arm, but still very alive. And angry.

"What the hell, man!" I shouted at him "Sorry, couldnt help it" He said.

The car now went 70 Km. The giant attempted to chase us, but lost his interest in us and returned to the school.

As we sped through, I thought We escaped! But what now? As we headed to the NAIA.
