Chapter 16- Change of Plans

"That was close" Etheine said, plowing the dead. The highway was packed with it, some were falling down to the sea, others we simply just standing.

"Damage report, David!" I yelled from the window. He was still picking off the dead who clung on the bars on the windows.

"Nothing serious, but I think the explosion wrecked the door, but everything is alright"

"How about the people indside?" "Jerome got scraped in the legs by shrapnel, but everyone is good"

"Thats good to hear" I said in reply.

"Hey Etheinne, how fast are we going?" I asked. "Um, we are going on a super fast speed of 30 kph." Etheinne said sarcastically.

"Damn. At this rate, we are not going to reach the airport in time!" I said.

"Dont worry. I managed to hide this from everyone" Etheinne said, holding a square box with a red button on it. "Found this hidden. I havent tried this, but I think we need to try it now"

"Well, what are you waiting for? Press it!" I said, seeing the speed of the bus going down to 20. The dead were now starting to climb the sides. David had to retreat down.

Etheinne pressed the button. Seconds later, A sudden burst of speed hit us. From 20 the speedometer went off the scales.

"Its NItrous!" Etheinne said, barely managing to maneuver the vehicle. The wipers were working nonstop trying to remove the blood from the windshield.

"Turn...It....Off!" I managed to say. I hated speed. It was like a rollercoaster ride. Only that we were going straight.

"I cant!" Etheinne said. "A BRIDGE!" And then I saw it. A bridge overhead. A few feet away, the zombies cleared. "We were going to get launched up to the air with the speed we are going!" Etheinne yelled. "Seatbelts!" It was the last thing I heard as The Armageddon launched up.

When I came around, it was nighttime. We were held up at a gas station.

"Uhh..." I said, rubbing my head. I then noticed I had bandages on my arm.

"Hey man" Hans said. "You got knocked out while the bus flew"

"No kidding" I said, wincing when I lifted my bad arm.

"Were are we?" I asked. "Were at the Parking thing near the airport" Hans said, pointing to the sign.

"David, Jerome and John are on a scouting mission. They will be back to report."

"Who is left?" I asked again. "Just us, Etheinne, and a couple of students from St. Jude."

"Thats nice to hear. Im going to talk to them" I said, standing up and walking towards them.

"Hey" I said. "Hi. We never properly introduced. My name is Dan" Dan said.

"Hello Dan, who are your other friends?"I asked. "I dont know those guys, they are 2 years higher than me"

"Oh." I said. I was about to say something else when I heard footsteps from afar.

"Its them!" Hans announced. In the distance, barely recognizable from the dark, were the very tired figues of David, Jerome, and John. They looked like they just ran miles.

"We got a problem!" David yelled.

"What was it?" I yelled back. "The---airport" David said in between pants.

"Its swarming. Swarming with The Goverment"

Just a quick update message!

Vacation has finally started, so expect more content from me! The book is almost done, and right now, I am planning for the second book, Escape! Prison 101. It is under way! I plan to be done with this book, probably finishing before the end of March. And releasing my 2nd book on my B-day :D

Some of my "Readers" have complained of my incorrect "Grammar" and "Spelling of some names"

I plan to fix those "Mistakes" after the book is finished :D

Also, some of my readers are going off to somewhere (You know where.) So PLEASE help me promote my book :D You can promote in anyway, like recommending this book or posting it on Facebook!
