Chapter 17- The Great Plane Robbery (Part 2- Close Encounters)

"Ok!" I said "Tomorrow, Hans, Vermont, find some materials! We need to reinforce the bus. I think we are going to need it. David, Jerome, once they get the stuff, weld it in! Etheine, improve the plow. The rest, help me set up the perimeter!."

"Vermont, Hans, and I volunteer to take watch"  John said.

"What?! I didnt ask for this!" Vermont said

"You always wanted to stay up late, Vermont. Its like 10 in the evening. Who cares?" Hans said "Im in"

"Thats great. Vermont, suck it up. Your on watch" I said

"Fine"

The next day, everyone had a hasty breakfast and went to work.

Hans and Vermont went out tp find somke materials, David and Jerome started working on the bus with the materials they have, Etheine drew some designs for a better plow, and the rest helped in making the walls.

As I was placing a sack on the wall, John tapped my shoulder and said "Come with me"

"Why?" I said.

"I got something to ask you" John said.

We walked down and into the store.

"Are you going to keep your end of the deal?" John said. "What deal?" I asked

"We help you, you help us escape" John said. "Forgot?"

"Of course not!" I said. "If you pulled me into a store just to ask me this. Man. You thought I was going to break my promise?"

"I hope not. Cause it will be very bad if you do" John said.

Feeling a bit shaken, I left the store with him.

"We got company!" The guy in the finished wall said. "Its a bus. Looks pretty beat up, too."

"Where?" I asked. "Over there, and I think it got something behind its back"

"The Dead! They're being followed!" I said. "But who are "They"?"

"ITS US!" Hans yelled. "LET US IN!"

"Get your weapons! Its time to bring the pain!" Etheine said, getting that crazy glint in his eye.

Everyone rushed to pick up their weapons. By the time we did, Hans and Vermont were rapidly talking to me on what happened.

"Again, from the beginning" I said.

"Not now! Well tell you later! Look!" Vermont said, pointing at the now massive group of dead.

When I turned towards the group. Instead of seeing the dead, i saw our group. The first thing I thought was: What did you do, Etheine...

Ethienne turned our group into an army.

Everyone was working like a well oiled machine. As the deadcame in, Ethienne yelled "Fire!"

Spears lit on fire was hurled at the dead. It spread like a wildfire. The moment a dead touches another one, it sets on fire.

"Those were good spears!" I yelled at Etheinne.

"Do you want to help or not?" Etheinne screamed back, throwing me a spiked bat.

"Charge!"

As soon as I got hold of the bat, I whacked a dead coming too close for my comfort. Its head flew off and hit another dead in the head.

"NIce one man!" David said.

We fought for what seemed like hours. After, we were all a bloody mess.

"Man, that was the longest fight ive ever been in" Jerome said, his trademark black jacket soaked in red.

"I know right? My body is aching all over" Etheinne said.

"Dude, you literally plowed through the dead! And killed them all at the same time!" Vermont said.

"Uh oh" John said. He was acting as the medic of the group. He was checking everyone for injuries.

"Um, Etheinne, I think we have a problem."

"What?"

"Look at your arm"

As my eyes set on his arm, I saw a big bite mark.

"Crap" Etheinne said.
