The golden sun shone on her eyelids, burning her eyes as she slowly woke up. Sasha yawned, rubbing the edge of her mouth. Kori still had their face buried in Sashas' neck.
"Good morning", Kori mumbled into her hair, startling her almost.
"Good morning loser", She yawned back. Her mind finally caught on to how close they were together.
'What are we anyway? Just friends or what?'
Her phone vibrated again, texts cramming her screen.
"Oh shit!", She sat up quickly, "I need to get back home, we shouldn't have..".
Kori smiled, "We didn't do anything Sash, keep the shirt, it looks cute on you".
Sasha blushed, running to find her clothes. Kori got up, moving slowly to the kitchen. She grabbed a bagel managing to toast it in, listening to Sasha stumble in her room.
She erupted down the corridor a few moments later,
"Take this", Kori pushed a bagged bagel into her hands.
Sasha smiled, staring into her eyes. Koraline paused, putting a hand on Sasha's neck, kissing her gingerly. Sasha kissed her back, placing the bag down, pushing her into the counter.
Sasha pulled away, kissing their cheek and rushing to the door with her hands full again.
The door shut.
Kori threw her hands up, jumping up and down like a child. Her cheeks burned hard, her stomach flipped, her brain flying. She composed herself, smiling widely.
They twisted to the door, locking it and dashing to her room. She jumped on the bed, before flopping backwards. Grabbing a pair of nicely fitting jeans and a jacket and putting them on, she ran to the door with her phone in hand. Shoving her old vans on, she opened the door.
"Hey Sash? Wait right there...", She exhaled through her lips.
She pulled the door shut, locking it behind her. They bolted down the corridor, flying down the stairs and out the apartment building front door. Sasha stood there, laughing at her as she almost fell down the small steps.
Sasha pushed her glasses up her face, throwing her hands around Kori as they ran down the street together. The same street as the other night, the same street as all the times before but this was different, different with her.
She grabbed their hand, her lungs burning as she tried to laugh. Slowing down, the university came into sight again, they crossed the road safely. Sasha sped up in-front of her, Kori instinctively pulling her back, stopping as if on command.
"Stop", Kori yelled. She looked around, something was wrong.
Vanessa and Elizabeth approached slowly in the opposite direction. Just as they were crossing the road. Koraline covered her ears, she'd been here before, seen this happen already.
