Sasha sat with her head in her hands, her leg bouncing, her glasses lenses full of fingerprints. The shirt she had wore last night bore blood that was not her own.

Koraline was nowhere to be found. The empty cold chairs next to her waited to be used.

"We were right there," she uttered to herself, moving her hands to gaze at her bloody fingers.

The hospital stayed silent, the only comfort was the flickering of a light, illuminating her back and casting a shadow on the floor.

Kori gently pushed a door open, Elisabeth walking through with her arm in a sling.

She shot up, moving to Lizzy and grasping their shoulders for a quick embrace.

"Im alright loser, a few cuts and scrapes", Lizzy inhaled sharply, a long deep cup running from their eyebrow to their hairline stretching and weeped slightly.

Sasha looked to Kori, "What about Vanessa, I saw her take most of the impact, where is she?".

Elizabeth's face contorted, "You mean you haven't seen her?". She frantically looked around at the three closest rooms.

Kori stayed silent, leaned up against the wall, their eyes elsewhere.

"Kori, where is she? Have you seen her", Sasha placed a hand on them, the coldness seeping into her hand. She retracted it just as quickly, searching their eyes for anything.

"I saw her, but,", Her voice wavered, "I couldn't do much, there was doctors and people, so many people. There was wires, blood,", finally they let a shaky breath out, "She looked so small, so.. different".

Sasha nodded, Elisabeth yelling, "Where the fuck did you see her, i'm asking you a simple question, where is my Nessa?".

Kori flinched, "Down there". Her shaking hand pointed past the three closest rooms, down to the trauma section of the hospital. They turned quickly, shoving their hands in their pockets and walking in the opposite direction, presumably to leave.

Sasha stood, watching them leave as Elisabeth walked down the corridor to where she hoped to find Vanessa.

Sasha scrunched up her face, plucked her glasses from her face and leaned against the wall in frustration.

She stood up, looking at her reflection in a see through window, the person inside peering back at her. She inhaled deeply, fixing her posture and trying to keep her positive thoughts close.

She walked and caught up to Elisabeth reasonably quickly. Placing a hand on her shoulder, her eyes followed the direction of theirs. She was met with the face of Vanessa. Sasha sniffled, opening the door to get closer.

Elisabeth crumpled, "Not my sweet Nessa, not you my darling..", she sobbed, holding onto Vanessa's hand with her only good one.

Sasha sighed, "What fucking lunatic would drive their car into two young women", she bit the edge of her tongue in anger.

"I heard they were just pretty shaken up,", a woman appeared in the doorway, "Sorry, You must be Miss Healy". The woman smiled, her raven black ponytail swished with her head tilt, "A bad accident from what I heard, are you okay?".

Sasha stared, blue eyes meeting her own.

"Sorry, i'm not sure if we have met", she smiled, their eyes still locked onto hers.
