Sasha sat, one leg tucked under the other.
The nurse, who she gathered was called Toni, was going to be watching Nessas vitals over the next few days.
Toni walked in, "I bring good tidings and a warm cups of coco".
Sasha smirked, "Making yourself useful, pull up a chair stranger".
She did just that, handing the cups to Sasha before sitting herself down. Sasha handing one of them back, wriggling to get comfy on the chair.
"Did Miss Healy get back to her room okay?", She asked quizzically, turning to look at Sasha.
Sasha shrugged, "Sound asleep". Her phone vibrated, a missed call from Kori lighting up her screen.
She muttered under her breath, snaking her hand and leaving it screen down on a small table.
"Am i interrupting anything, Miss Clayton?", Toni raised an eyebrow.
Sasha shook her head, turning to look into their eyes, "Nothing important".
The silence dragged on, Sasha found herself staying and getting lost in their calming eyes. Toni smiled, she didn't say anything, but nudged a stray finger against Sashas hand.
Sasha blinked, her eyes brimming with tears. She shook her head again. She brushed the corners of her eyes, standing up. Toni stood up with her,
I just need to feel something,
Sasha grabbed the edge of Toni's jacket, pulling her close and locking her lips on theirs. Toni pulled away, "What's that for?".
Sasha let her go, the empty pit in her stomach seemed to weigh even more.
She sighed, "I'm so sorry, i don't know what came over me".
Toni nodded, holding onto Sashas arm, "No harm done". Toni turned to walk out, Sasha lingering there. Toni paused, "You haven't got a girlfriend have you? No ties right?", She turned to look at Sasha, who moved awkwardly.
Sasha felt a hand on the back of her neck, the warmth on their skin, the feeling of their thick hair in her hand. Sasha pulled away again, her stomach weighing and everything feeling wrong.
Sasha let go of her, "Maybe not". She smiled, the glasses bunching up on her nose and sliding back down. Toni reached forward and pushed them up and rested them on top of Sasha's head. Sasha pushed their hands away, moving her head and looking down.
Toni let go of her, resting against a wall. Sasha pulled back, turning to look at Vanessa, who was peering back at her.
"What the fuck is going on?", Nessa groaned, reaching a hand to her forehead.
Toni shuffled awkwardly, sneaking out of the door. Sasha stepped forward and reached for Vanessas hand.
She shrugged, "Where is she Sasha?" her voice wavered, "Is she okay?"
She wakes up and her first though is her girlfriend.
"Shes worried about you but she got to sleep fairly easily", Sasha sat on the edge of the bed.
"Is she hurt?"
Sasha paused, besides from the sling what else had she noticed?
"Shes got this nasty cut on her forehead", as she drew an imaginary line against her own face.
Nessa groaned, moving her eyes and gazing at the cast covering her hand, "I have a fucking cast!"
