The first day of school. How interesting, I was excited for Matt, excited for Katy too. Plus, I finally had my room back, but I was more fascinated with my room in the walls now because of all the crumbled up artwork I managed to salvage from Matt's insecurities. The dude's really good, I plucked them all around, on every empty space, now, it's like a black and white art gallery and I'm invited to critique.

Anyways, Billy, I learnt was the dad's name, rushed down the stairs. He was the first one ready, as always, he stood before his busy wife waiting to greet her. She turned from the frying pan and gave him a quick peck before straightening his tie. "Goodbye kids!" He called from the door, "Bye dad!'' They yelled back in unison. And he was gone.

The mother, Winona, made her way to the dining room, pancakes still frying on the hot pan. "Yummmy." Katy cheered, I peeped from the doorway. Matt lamely said thank you and slowly began eating. Winona noticed his rather gloomy attitude as she began pouring syrup over the stack of pancakes on Katy's plate. "Matt? Are you okay?" She asked, "What?" He looked up from his plate as if waking up for the first time. "Er, yeah. Yeah I'm okay." He quickly responded, "C'mon Matt, something's eating at you." She lowered, "tell me what's wrong kiddo." She continued, her focus now solely on him. "It's nothing mom, I swear." He continued, now munching down his pancakes happily.

What a liar!

Why couldn't he just tell what was wrong? Why couldn't he just tell us what was wrong?!

"Oh, okay." She hesitantly added before breakfast came to a close and the two were driven to school.

Home.

I was alone again. I darted upstairs straight into Matt's room and I flung onto the bed. I missed my bed, but here I was on a stranger's bed. It was still amazing, who cares anyway what a bed feels like when you've been lying on the floor for days?

Anyways, I tossed and turned, my thoughts on Matt's attitude. I felt like his mom. Ew! We were the same age and here I was caring for him all of a sudden. I was starting to care for all of them, they were now my family. Yes, that's what they were… And that's when it suddenly hit me. Matt, since he moved here, he's never left his room, never gone outside, never even played football although that was the case upon his arrival. Maybe Matt had no friends. Matt was just like me, alone, trapped, tormented.

I sighed in annoyance. He'll get over it, and I got out of bed.

Winona began the laundry and Katy was playing with dolls in her room. She hadn't been enrolled in any kindergarten yet. I was bored at that moment so I decided to have a little chat with Katy, even though I had warned myself not to.

"Hello?" Katy immediately spotted me at the doorway, "Do you live here too?" She continued, an innocent smile on her face. I snorted, hilarious… I've lived here for as long as I can remember, I should be asking you these questions kid, anyways, I stayed silent. "Do you want to have a tea party with me?" She asked, gesturing towards the small, pink, rectangular table filled with seats of a massive panda bear and an overdressed pink care bear, a teacup in front of each bear.

I silently made my way across the room and sat myself down, "Would you like some sugar?" She asked me, I nodded. "Milk?" She continued, and I nodded. "This is Paisley and Dandy." She pointed towards the bears. I looked them over and hesitantly nodded with a smile. She finally sat herself down once she was assured that I was taken care of, what a charming little host. "Can you talk?" She asked me, I paused for a moment, and then decided to ignore the question.

The feeling of someone looking straight at me and seeing me again was enough to leave me speechless. I loved being seen again, invisibility comes with a toll.
