"Mom, dad? I got home early because there was a fire drill at school. Andrea's with me too." I heard Bryce yell from downstairs. By some force I was suddenly down stairs, lurking, watching them casually enter.
Bryce flung his bag on the couch. "Looks like nobody's home." He fell down onto the sofa. Andrea followed. "How's Hannah holding up?" She asked. "I don't know what's wrong with her." He replied. "I mean, she was fine all along and now she's sick or something. It's scary." He lowered. "It's going to be okay. Has Matt been around?" She asked. "Well, one time yeah. He was totally weird." Bryce answered.
"Bryce." I whispered. Startled, the two instantly hopped off the couch. "Hannah?" He called out, looking out into the hallway. "Hey Hannah? Where are you? Mom and Dad home? You okay now?" He continued. That's when I crossed one room to the other, revealing my bloody robe for just a second.
Andrea wailed. "Hannah?" Bryce yelled and followed me into the room further down the hall. "Bryce, where did she go?" Andrea shuddered. The room was empty. "I don't know, c'mon!" He pulled Andrea and rushed up the stairs into my room.
They pulled on the doorknob and instantly shrieked at the site. Two bodies lay sprawled out on the floor, completely disfigured or deformed. "Mom?! Dad?!" Bryce screamed in horror. Andrea seemed to be hyperventilating. "No, No, No!" He shrieked, grasping onto mom. "Bryce." Andrea wailed. "Bryce, we have to go!" She grasped onto his shoulder. "Bryce, we gotta call the police now!" She continued.
Bryce didn't listen. His eyes were filled with tears. He was lost and completely broken. That's when the door to my cupboard slowly opened. It caught their attention. They stared at the darkness inside like deers looking at a headlight.
"B-bryce…" Andrea stuttered. They heard the sickening crack of bones, of my bones, of Hannah's bones. "H-Hannah?" Bryce called, a tear slowly leaving his eye. He slowly got up from the corpse and hesitantly approached the cupboard.
"Bryce! Bryce what are you doing?! We have to go now!" She whispered back at him, tears silently streaming down her cheeks. Her one hand was on the doorknob ready to run out.
I patiently waited for Bryce to approach.
"Bryce! Bryce c'mon!" Andrea continued, plead in her eyes. "She's my sister Andrea! I'm not just going to leave her here!" He turned back to her. And that's when I showed myself.
Andrea stared at me with horror in her eyes. Bryce looked at her puzzled before turning to face me. He gasped at the site and I immediately jumped onto him like a gigantic frog, my legs bent inhumanely. Andrea screamed before running out.
Bryce stared up at me with fear in his eyes. "H-Hannah?" He stuttered. "Hannah's gone." My demonic voice replied before I ripped out Bryce's beating heart. His eyes were still open, and I showed his heart to him. Within a few seconds he was gone and on cue I heard the door downstairs slam shut.
I approached the window and saw Andrea run down the street. I slowly made my way down the stairs, turned the doorknob and exited the house. I followed to where I figured Andrea had gone, Matt's house.
That was my final destination.
