Chapter 3

Maya's POV

"Ok, let's start with some free throws." Lucas said

I sighed. I grabbed the ball and shot it. It didn't go in.

"Maya, you have to fix your elbow." Lucas said

"I did." I said

"And turn your waist." Lucas added

"I did." I said

"No, you didn't." Lucas said

"You shoot some then." I said throwing to ball at Lucas angrily

"Fine. I will. But you have to watch." Lucas said

"Fine." I said

He shot five and they all went in. I know I need his help, but I just don't want him to help me. I want Joshua to help me, but he's not my partner.

"See. Easy." Lucas smirked

"Give me the ball." I huffed

I shot one and it didn't go in. Lucas came behind me and put his hands on my waist. I gasped at his touch. He smirked.

"I told you to turn your waist." Lucas said

"Ok, now what?" I asked trying to get my mind off of how Lucas is holding me right now

"And fix your arm." Lucas smirked

He put his hand and lifted my arm up. He told me to shoot and I did. I made it in, just like with Joshua. I made like five more, and Lucas was still holding me.

We looked into each other's eyes We both started to lean in when the whistle blew. We quickly separated.

"I am so tired!" I said as I sat in the couch

"Me too." Joshua said sitting next to me

Joshua and I kissed.

"Omg! Are you dating?!" Riley squealed

"Yea." I said

"Ahhhhhh!" Riley squealed

I got up and jumped around with her while we screamed.

"Stop screaming!" Farkle laughed

We stopped and I sat back down next to Joshua.

"Practice was so tiring today." Joshua said

"Yea I know, Maya was awful at her free throws." Lucas said

"I was not, I got some in." I said

"Yea, when I held you." Lucas said

I looked at him. Why would he say that? We had a moment. We were about to kiss! I looked at Joshua who looked upset.

"What do you mean, held you?" Joshua asked me

"Well I couldn't make them in so he showed me how." I said

"Yea but he said he held you." Joshua said

"He grabbed my waist and held me to help me make my shots." I said

"Yeah, it's not like I kissed her." Lucas said

"Why'd you touch her? You could've just told her what to do." Joshua said

"She needed help." Lucas shrugged

"Did anything else happen?" Joshua asked

Lucas and I looked at each other. I shook my head and looked at him to tell him not to say anything.

"No, nothing happened." Lucas said

"Then why did you two just look at each other before Lucas answered?" Farkle asked

We looked at each other again.

"Ummm....." Lucas said

"Let's watch a movie!" I said trying to change the subject

"Maya did anything-"

I cut Joshua off by kissing him. He kissed back and made out until we heard Farkle cleared his throat. We pulled apart.

"So movie?" I asked

They all nodded. Lucas came and sat down on the other side of me. Joshua put his arm around me. We started watching the movie and I fell asleep.

I woke up to see Joshua and Riley staring at me. I wondered why at first, but then I realized that I was laying on Lucas and he had his arm around me. Lucas woke up too.

"Why are you two staring at me?" Lucas asked

"Because my girlfriend was sleeping on you." Joshua said

"That's not my fault." Lucas said looking at me

"We just fell asleep Joshua." I said

"Then why weren't you laying on me?" He asked

"I don't know." I shrugged

I looked at Lucas and realized that I was still wrapped up in his arm. I didn't move though.

"Guys, breakfast!" Riley and Farkle called from the kitchen

"Maybe, you should take your arm off of my girlfriend." Joshua said stepping closer to Lucas and I

"Babe, we are getting up. Chill." I said

Lucas removed his arm and we both stood up. We looked at each other and started laughing. Our hair is a mess.

"What are you guys laughing at?" Farkle asked

"His hair." I said

"Is it that bad?" Lucas asked laughing

"Yea, let me fix it." I said

I ran my fingers through his hair trying to make it look better. Lucas smiled at me and I smiled back at him. I stopped when I finished realizing that Riley, Farkle, and Joshua were staring at us. Maybe I shouldn't have fixed his hair.
