Sunday FINALLY came around and Rain and I decided that it wasn’t good enough just having a normal girlie night in, we needed to make this perfect. So we headed off to Tesco to buy enough food to literally feed a 5000 man army. Unfortunately, like I said earlier, we’re not exactly ‘rich’ per say. In fact we can barely afford to keep going out after drama to the pub as one drink, is never one drink when you go out with drama soc. So we decided that we needed to assign different people for different jobs.

Luke – Pizzas

Billy – Drink

Ava – popcorn and sweets

Rain – Face masks

Me – hot chocolate and crisps

And just as we’re heading round and grabbing our things off the shelves, I get a text from Johnny from Drama.

Hey Ally, I got the chocolate for tonight, don’t know if you remember inviting me to the sleepover, hope it’s still ok for me to come xxx

I didn’t remember that, nor did I remember giving him my number if I’m completely honest. But I like to think that my attitude towards this type of situations is ‘The more the merrier’ – plus he was bringing chocolate, so who was I to refuse him admittance!

So later on that night, at about 7 ish, everyone was arriving at Rain’s house, but me being me, I was clearly late.

“Rain, I promise I’ll be there in like literally 20 minutes.” I say as I frantically run around my room trying to throw clothes and make-up and just random crap into a bag.

I pretty much got home from spending the day with Rain, sat down with my sister to watch tv and fell asleep! Next thing I know, I’ve accumulated a thousand missed calls and I’m being awoken by my phone screaming “WHEN I GO BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!”

So that is the reason why I’m late and running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything ready so I can run to Rain’s house and just relax!!!

I throw my pyjama shorts on with a baggy top that is an ex-boyfriend garment that clearly looks better on me than it ever did on him! And then put my pink dressing gown on … It is a pyjama party so, I’m going all out!

I leave my house and waddle with all my stuff to Rain’s house, which is – lucky for me – literally at the bottom of my road. I’m right at the end of the road, up a massive hill, number 204 and she’s all the way down the hill right to the very beginning of the road at number 5.

I walk straight in through her front door, because her family treat me like their second daughter. Rain’s an only child, so her family literally accepted me from the beginning! I, on the other hand have two brothers, Alfie and Michael, and a sister, Lana. So my family still treat her nicely, but they don’t need any more children!

“Hey Mum and Dad!” I shout to Rain’s parents in the lounge.

“Hey honey!” Her mum shouts back, “Can you tell Rain we’re leaving now?”

“Yeah, sure thing!” I shout back as her parents make their way towards the front door.

I shut the door behind me and head straight upstairs. They must’ve heard me coming because as soon as I open the door I’m literally attacked by everyone, all enveloping me in hugs! Luke made it to me first, which is pretty much what I wanted because he’s just so damn good at giving cuddles! And Billy wrapped his arms around the both of us whilst everyone else just kind of snuggled into the hug from the outside. It was magical! But kind of claustrophobic so I absolutely had to break it up!

“Guys, I genuinely can’t breathe, and the walls are closing in on me!” I shout, and thankfully everyone takes the hint and steps out.

We all grab a place around Rain’s room; Luke sits on her desk chair by straddling it so that the backrest is in front of him. Billy sits on the floor and Ava, Rain, Johnny and I all cram into Rain’s single bed, leaning against the wall so to be facing the other two.
