You Don't Deserve Him

Ergh, how I hate school.

It's soooooo pointless. All this stuff they teach us; trigonometry, pythagoras theorem, how to use adjectives correctly, burning magnesium safely. I mean seriously, how is this going to help me in my career prospects? They should sit youdown before you start the year and say "What do you want to be when you grow up?" And if they don't know, fair enough, let them take every subject there is and waste there time, but if they're like me and they've known since they were growing in the womb (!!!!!) then they should just let you study what you want.

I just want to be a performer, I don't give a shit about maths, science blah blah blah. I just want to study dance, drama and singing. I mean, if I had the confidence, I would be up on that stage with Fin and Alison singing at pubs, singing in the street, singing in the rain! Fuck it, I'd sing everywhere I went. But I don't, so I can't. So for now .... "I'm stuck, Rydell, right here!" (Grease quote).

So I plod along down the hallways, literally dragging my bag behind me. But the scrapping noise it makes on the floor starts to grate on me, so I sling it over my shoulder. My head is genuinely pounding; it was a heavy night last night.

On a school night? I hear you say.

I know! I'm just such a bad ass!

I round the corner and waltz into my english class to see me table of girls all nursing their own heads or stomachs.

"Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one regretting last night." I say quietly as I sit next to Rain.

"I think I'm going to throw up all my internal organs!" Eva states.

"As opposed to your external ones?" Bethan questions whilst laughing too loud which makes the rest of us whince and her instantly regret doing it.

"I don't want to be here." Holly's irish accent complains from opposite me.

"I know hun, but unfortunately ... We have to be." Rain says as she lets her head drop back so that she's looking up at the ceiling, "I just wanna go sunbathe on the field!"

My whole mood instantly lightens up, "That's the best idea you've ever had Rain! Let's go."

The girls don't even try to fight it, they all just start packing their things away.

"Goooooooooood morning class!" Miss Lynch says way too loud for our poor heads and tears our dreams of sunbathing on the filed from under us.

"Well that plan's shot to hell!" Jill says glumly as she sits back down in her seat.

"Guys, seriously, I think I'm going to throw up." Eva whines, but none of us hear her.

"We'll be fine, let's just make up an excuse and bolt!" Rain suggests.

"No honestly. she doesn't let anyone out of class .. EVER!" Holly replies.

"Especially not 6 girls at once!" Bethan adds.

"Guys, seriously" Eva says as she grabs her stomach and tries to take deep breaths.

"No, it's gotta be a really good reason for her to excuse all of us!" I say, "But what could we use?"

"Ermmmm.. guys?" Jill says worriedly whilst looking at Eva.

Just as we all turn our heads to look in their direction, Eva pukes everywhere! It goes all over the table and all over our legs!

Bethan and Holly scream really loudly whilst Rain and I just stare open mouthed at our bare legs covered in Eva's vomit!

"What is going o-" Miss Lynch starts, "Oh my goodness!!"
