Chapter 14: Let the Party Begin!

"Gurararara! And the party begins!" Newgate announced as the preparations finished and it was officially in time for some celebration.

Luffy's friends were already present as they helped prepare when he called them over.

The Baratie staff are here too. They helped prepare all the food for the guests. Of course, Thatch and his crew were more than enough but still, Owner Zeff volunteered when Sanji told him about it and they were a lot of help. 

You tasted Sanji's food for the first time and you swore you went to heaven and back.

Thatch got brotherly jealous of this because he has always been your favorite chef since you were just a kid. You always want to eat his cooking and refuse to eat anything less. That resulted in an unspoken rivalry between the two.

Oh well, if they're fired up to cook then a certain trio is more than fired up to eat.

Yup, Sabo still has his huge appetite under all the manners and appropriateness in his body.

Since the party was mostly composed of the huge Newgate family, the party had already started once the decorations and everything else was set.

Soon the non-family guests started appearing. From neighbors to even past classmates at GrandLine High. You were more than elated to welcome them.

"Hey! N/N-chan!" You heard a familiar voice shout. Looking far back, it was him, Shanks. "I'm here and I brought the whole gang, plus my family!"

Hearing that you quickly rushed to them, and seeing that, Shanks had his arms wide open but you pushed him away to hug Makino. "Makino! I missed you!" 

"I missed you too, Y/N-chan! You're still so sexy, sorry if I didn't dress up that much," Makino humbled which make you shake your head.

"You look real fine, Makino. No need to apologize. Let's just catch up some time to make up for our lost time. Speaking of apologies, sorry my brother roped your son to some fiasco." Your hand went and reached for the grumpy fiery redhead. He noised out a small grunt but you don't actually feel the boy pulling away.

"Oh no, this rascal told me that he agreed to it himself. No need to apologize."

"I was bored and it seemed like a fun idea," Kid voiced out before he noticed his group of friends arriving. 

Though before he can get away, Makino placed a hand on his shoulder and firmly held him in place.

"Ah, ah, ah... Don't you have anything else to say to your godmother?" Makino reminded in a bit of a stern tone which honestly scared you. She has always scared you with that tone, even though none of it were directed to you.

Kid got flustered at this and timidly placed his arms around your figure. "Welcome back, Y/N-san."

"Thank you, Kid. You're free to go now, the food is inside, and no fighting."

 Then he quickly ran away. 

"He got that from Shanks," Makino and you said in the chorus then giggled. Shanks looked overhearing his wife and friend giggle. 

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing, honey."

You then turned your attention to Benn. "Hey Benny boo," you called in a teasing manner and they all laughed. You pulled him in a hug which he more than happily returned.

The nickname originated from Benn's ex-girlfriend in high school. She was a special kind of girl. But not the good kind of special. More like, the hilarious kind of special.
