Chapter 14

                                                                        Sapphire's POV

                                                                        9 months since pregnancy

        Ezra went on an op and I was left alone but he was going to be back soon. I heard the Phantom connect back to the Ghost and Ezra ran to my side. "Are you okay?" He asked. "I'm fine." I said. "Well I have to go on another op, will you be fine here by yourself?" "Of course I will." He kissed my cheek and walked out of the room leaving me all alone. I felt something wet underneath me. MY WATER BROKE! I tried contacting the crew but the signal was jammed. "Leia!" I said screaming out in pain. "What wrong?" She asked over the com. "My water broke!" I screamed. She arrived a little while later with Luke and Han. Leia helped deliver my baby while Luke held my hand to comfort me. "It's a girl." She said with a smile. "What are you gonna name her?" Luke asked. "Ela." I said with a huge smile on my face. "Ezra and I already discussed it." I screamed out in pain. "There's another." She said. Luke took Ela and comforted her. Ezra ran into the room. He had just gotten back. "It's a boy." Leia said. "What's his name?" Luke asked. "Xander." Ezra and I said. I hadn't even noticed he walked. He ran over and hugged me. Luke handed me Ela so I was holding both of my children. I was crying tears of joy. Everyone ran into the room they had finished delivering crates.

        They noticed I was holding two babies. Hera came up to me and held Xander and passed him to Sabine while I handed Hera Ela. "They're beautiful." Ela had blue hair like Ezra and blue eyes like me. Xander had my brown hair and Ezra's electric blue eyes. "I think you and Ezra should now move into the same room now." Hera said. "Okay but you Kanan have to kiss because we all know you guys love eachother." I said. Kanan blushed and Hera went up and kissed him. We all smiled at them. Luke hugged me goodbye and walked out to the Falcon. I dont think he can deal with that i'm growing up. Ezra moved into my room and we fit the twins cribs in as well. When one cried the other would wake up crying. Ezra helped me all night and stayed awake with me.

        It was now morning and the twins were finally sleeping. Ezra and I had just fallen asleep when Hera said it was time for breakfast. Ezra helped me walk into the kitchen we both were exausted. Zeb ran down the hall after Chopper. "Get back here you rust bucket!" He screamed. The twins woke up crying their heads off. I was angry. I walked past him and punched him. Ezra followed behind me. "Ezra get some sleep. I'll watch the kids." I said, he nodded and got some rest. I put the twins on the bed next him and fell asleep. Ezra and I slept on the outsides while they slept between us. I loved Ezra and my childeren. I got out of bed and went to get something to eat. "Hey, you dont look so good. How much sleep did you get?" Hera asked. "I fell asleep about an hour before breakfast. Now Ezra and the kids are sleeping on the bed." I said. "He stayed awake with me all night. I'm so happy because I never knew my mother or father. My children are going to know both their parents." I said with a smile. "So how's everything with Kanan?" I asked. She lowered her head. "He said we couldn't be together because it would compicate the missions." She said with tears in her eyes. "I cant believe he said that!" I said standing up. I was determind to find him. He was dicussing the next op with Zeb and Sabine. "Sapphire let it go!" Hera called after me grabbed my wrist. I slipped out of her grasp. I walked up to Kanan and punched him in the stomach. He stumbled back. "How dare you say that to Hera! Can't you see she loves you! Do you know how much it hurts to love someone and have them not love ou back!" I asked shouting at him. I heard him mumble something. "What was that!" I asked.  "Like you would understand! Everyone loves you!" He said yelling at me. That hurt. "Do you think my father loves me!? Let me tell you he doesnt! But guess what I love him!" I stormed off with tears in my eyes. I bumped into Ezra in the hall. "What's the matter?" He asked. "Why dont you go ask your master." I said. I walked to our room and laid down in our bed next to the twins and picked them up and held them close to my chest and fell asleep. Before I fell asleep I heard Ezra yelling but decided to ignore it. Usually I stopped him but I just couldnt right now. My children came before my personal problems and I was going to protect them from the arguments.

        Later that night Hera said she would watch the kids while Ezra and I went out. Ezra brought me out into the field. "I love you Sapphire and now we have kids. Things are getting more and more complicated. Luke isnt happy that you have kids now. Things are going on between Kanan and Hera and there's a lot of tension. But you Ela and Xander make everything better. I love you guys so much, but I'll be going on missions and you'll be all alone. I want you to be mine so." Ezra said kneeling down on one knee. "Will you marry me and make me the happiest person in the whole universe?" He asked I froze up. The ring was beautiful. It was a sapphire heart with two smaller diamonds next to it. The ring was silver and it brought tears to my eyes. I knew everyone back at the Ghost was watching. "Yes." I said nodding. I tackled him with a hug and kissed him. He slipped the ring on my finger. We stood up and I hugged him for what felt like an hour but was only a minute. "I have to go." He said. "What?" I asked. "I have to go on another op." I nodded upset. I walked back in and took my children from Hera. "Congradulations!" Everyone said. I didnt respond I just had tears in my eyes. Ezra is always gone, It's getting harder eachday. I never fell asleep Ela and Xander were sleeping at my side. I heard everyone come back. I felt Ezra walking down the hall and I pretended I was sleeping to avoid him. The bed was full there was no room for him. Ezra slept in his old room that night.

        After about a week I couldn't deal with it anymore. Everyday Ezra went on ops and whenever he came back I was asleep. Everynight he slept in his old room I didnt use the cribs anymore. We barley talked anymore. I can't deal with it anymore! I took out a piece of paper and wrote him a letter.

        Dear Ezra,

           I have to leave. We never see eachother anymore. I cant deal with the kids getting hurt. The rebel life isnt for them. By the time you read this I'll already be gone. I'm sorry, I cant deal with it anymore. Goodbye. I'll miss you so much. I'm taking the kids with me. I'll be back soon I just need some time.

        Ezra walked in on me as I wrote my heart. He took the letter from my hands. "You can't leave." He said. "You never have time for us anymore." I said tears flowing down my cheeks. He wiped them away. "Please tell me you'll stay." He said. "I'll stay." I said.
