Emily:
I didn't sleep well last night due to the fact that I was thinking extremely hard of ways to help Alison and her family situation.

I didn't want to screw things up but showing up at her parents door and demanding that they help Alison out, but at the same time something needed to happen. Nobody deserves to be treated like that, especially Alison.

"Get up loser." Alison mumbled in my ear.

"You're the one who's still asleep." I pointed out and she gave me a death stare that didn't intimidate me anymore.

"I meant, get up out of bed. Watching you get ready in the morning relaxes me." Alison rolled her eyes as if I was supposed to know that.

"Well that's not creepy at all." I giggled but got up anyways.

"I don't want to get up. Last night was way too stressful." Alison yawned, getting up to stretch.

She was so adorable. Okay, sorry, cheesy moment over.

"I know, I'm sorry." I went to brush my teeth and Alison joined me. I didn't mean to make her feel uncomfortable, but I was really happy she felt that she could share that information with me.

"It's whatever." She replied spitting out her toothpaste and scrunching up her hair.

"How about I make it up to you by ditching school..." I trailed off seeing her head perk up.

"Really?" She looked at me with doubt in her eyes.

"Really." I confirmed by kissing her softly on the cheek.

"That would be amazing." Alison admitted and I didn't even bother putting on make up since my mom wouldn't really look at me anyways before I "left for school".

"Bye mom! See you after practice." I yelled over the vacuum.

"Oh honey, I'll be home late. Make dinner, will you?" My mom called back, pulling the vacuum plug out of the wall so she could hear me.

"No problem!" I agreed and grabbed the keys to my car. Alison and I hopped in and drove it around the corner.

Not suspicious at all.

We trudged back to my house and stealthily climbed into my room through the window.

"I kinda like this bad ass side to you, Em." Alison whispered in my ear, but my heart was pounding.

"If we get caught, I'm saying you kidnapped me." I warned her.

She put her hands up in surrender, but then smirked, "at least you'd like being in MY prison." She winked after she said that and my insides dropped. She just turned me on with that one sentence.

I didn't want her to know that, so I just replied with, "oh yeah, okay."

She wrinkled her nose at me and flashed me her dimples, "you know it's true."

I didn't reply and slowly tiptoed to my bed, "this is not supposed to be suggestive at all, considering what we were just talking about, I just don't like sitting on the floor."

Oh yeah, good one Em.

"You're so ridiculous..." Alison started to say, but I shot her a death stare, "...ly cute, goodness let me finish my sentence."

We broke into muffled giggles as we shoved our faces into her quilt.

"Remember when you used to hate me?" I questioned when we had finally calmed our giggles.

"I still do." She retorted.

"I hate you too." I crossed my arms, trying to be serious.

"Maybe 'I hate you' can be our always."

I looked sharply at Alison, I never really took her as the romantic kind. I just nodded shyly in reply.

"I hate you so much." She bit her lip, her gaze fluttered to my lips and then to my eyes.

"I hate you so much more." I chewed the inside of my lip and when her hand touched my thigh, I lost it. I crashed our lips together and crawled on top of her. She bit my bottom lip, slowly pulled on it and then let it ping back into place. Our kisses soon became heated and I had to pull away before we went too far. Alison was panting at the intensity of that moment and so was I.

"We should..."

"Probably get off each other." I finished her sentence and she nodded weakly. Alison then laid in my arms and set a quick kiss on my neck.

"Why do you want to help me?"

I kissed her forehead, expecting this question I replied, "because Alison, I care about you. Someone needs to. I want to be there for you, I want to protect you. I want to show you that you're loved. Even if you may not feel like it."

She rolled her lips into her mouth and her eyes got a little watery, "thanks."

I wiped the tear that had fallen down her face, "sh."

This usually led to more kissing but I knew that Alison wasn't in the mood for that after what I had just told her, so instead I just held her.

I loved holding her.

Alison:
I burrowed my head into Emily's neck, just letting myself feel safe for once.

"Why did you hate me?" Emil asked suddenly and I tensed up.

"I don't know. I'm a very loving person, well, I used to be." I admitted.

"Have you ever been in love?" She said quietly and I got the feeling that she didn't really want to know.

"Yes. My childhood sweetheart." I chewed my lip hoping Emily wouldn't ask too many more questions.

"Oh." She replied, "how did you know?"

I looked at her and smiled, "trust me, you know. She was beautiful, smart, daring, and oh so captivating. She had the prettiest smile in the world and even though I only got to have one conversation with her, she stole my heart."

"She sounds amazing." Emily looked defeated but I tilted her chin up with my finger.

"But it's okay. I still hate you."

She smiled and I kissed her.

I kissed my very first love and the worst part was, I couldn't tell her that.
