Alison:
Emily had fallen asleep on my shoulder and so I just stayed awake, watching her chest heave in and out.

I had just dozed off when I heard the front door open. I shook Emily awake and threw myself off the bed to go put some clothes on. Emily looked confused until she heard my mom call out, "Alison?"

She looked frantically around the room, her eyes landing on my closet. She grabbed her clothes and dashed into the closet, shutting the door just in time.

"Hey mom!" I covered up and she just looked at me strangely.

"Uh hi, we're going out for dinner. Are you joining?"

"Mom, it's Thursday, I have a ton of homework to do..." I shrugged, "thanks for the offer."

"Okay sweetie, have fun." My mom closed the door and I let out a deep breath. Emily creaked open the door and I burst into giggles.

"That was too close for comfort." Emily said after we had calmed down.

"Yeah, you should go home before your mom gets worried." I frowned, not wanting her to go. There was no way I was going to tell her that. That would be way too clingy.

"Oh, uh, okay..." Emily trailed off, but covered it up with a smile. I clenched my fists together and everything in my body protested against the words I was about to say.

Except my heart.

"I don't want you to go, can you stay the night?"

Emily looked shocked, but pleased, "of course I can."

I smiled to myself on the inside, but just shrugged, "I mean, like, not that I really care..."

"Oh please Alison, drop the act." She winked and sent my stomach into flips. Not unlike a washing machine.

"can you like not be so...you...for a little bit so I can actually sleep tonight?" I glared at her but she just grinned.

"Let me text my mom, I'll be right back." She went to her car to get her things and I couldn't help but watch out my window.

When she got back, we cuddled into each other and I enjoyed being the big spoon.
-------
Emily had her arm slung over me and her leg wrapped carelessly over my hip. It was times like these that I loved her the most. She stirred in her sleep and I kissed her forehead lightly. Getting up and stretching my arms, I got out of bed and started getting ready for school.

I had just pulled on my shirt when I felt Emily's arms wrap around me. I smiled and kissed her forearm, "morning beautiful."

"Morning." She mumbled into my ear, placing a quick kiss on my temple.

Soon we were ready for school and we were on our way.
-----
Emily and I got out of her car and I immediately grabbed hold of her hand and she smiled to me.

"Emily." Paige ran up and crossed her arms.

Oh goodness, here we go.

"Yes?" Emily asked back innocently. I had to admire her calmness.

"I actually hate you." Paige glared at me and then focused her attention back to Emily.

I had enough of her attitude, "excuse me, pigskin, I suggest that you back off unless you want to end up like Ben. And just remember." I paused and leaned in closer to her, "I like my bacon, crispy." I growled the last words into her ear and she jumped back and squealed.

"Whatever." She huffed and stalked away.

"Thanks Ali." Emily squeezed my hand appreciatively.

It was really no big deal, I would do anything for her.
