Riley was in her own world until she heard Mrs. Kossal say " You will be paired up with a partner to work with for the rest of the year."
Riley sighed as Mrs. Kossal read the list out loud...
Maya and Brandon
Farkel and Brenda
Missy and Billy
Riley and Lucas.. and other names
Once Riley heard who she was paired up with she immediately jumped up from her seat and said "WHAT!?!"
Meanwhile Lucas just sat there amused and a smirk plastered on his face. Mrs. Kossal was suprised of Riley's actions. "Riley, do not shout in the classroom. I am afraid Lucas is your permanent partner for the rest of the year" Mrs. Kossal said calmly.
Defeated Riley sat down again. Lucas leaned over next to Riley's ear. "You can't get rid of me babe" Lucas whispered. Riley gave Lucas a death glare and said " 1. I am not your babe and 2. I wish I could get rid of you." Lucas just smirked and said " 1. You will be my babe and 2. You know you love me." Lucas said clearly mocking Riley. She just looked at the front board to see what the first assigment was. It said "Draw a portrait of your partner. Assigment due in 4 days." Riley let out a big sigh. "Lets just get this assigment done" Riley said. "Okey babe" Lucas said knowing Riley would lash out. Riley decided to not let him get to her. Lucas sat on the stool and looked Riley's way so she could draw him. In that moment Riley saw all his amazing features. His perfect hair, his pink soft looking lips, and most importantly, his green eyes. She realized she was staring for at him for a long time when he smirked and said "Like what you see." Riley just rolled her eyes.
She tried to convince herself that she hated Lucas. He was a bad boy. A player. A little part of her body told her he was handsome and perfect.
The thought of her possibly liking Lucas remained in Riley's mind all throught the night.
