(Time skip to lunch)
Maya and Riley were in the lunch line when Riley saw Lucas staring at her. She just ignored it. Once the girls got their lunch they sat down and talked about random stuff. Out of the corner of her eye, Riley saw Lucas still staring at her. " I'm going to the bathroom be right back" Riley said as she stood up. "Ok" Maya said and then stuffed herself with her food. Riley walked to the bathroom not knowing someone was following her. Lucas. She was still walking when she got pushed against the lockers by Missy Bradford. " What do you want Missy" Riley said. "I want you to die. You don't deserve to live. You're a waste of space." Missy spat. Riley could feel the tears coming down. "Don't cry. Hoars like you don't cry" Missy said as she punched Riley in the stomache. Riley was now crying. Missy was about to punch her again but Lucas jumped out of his hiding spot. He ran towards Missy and pushed her before she could punch Riley again. He embraced Riley in his arms. Riley was now crying into his chest. Missy got up from the ground and approached Lucas. " Babe don't waste your time with this piece of trash" Missy said. "SHUT THE HELL UP MISSY. RILEY IS A BETTER PERSON THEN YOU'LL EVER BE" Lucas said anger boiling inside of him. Missy got mad and just walked away. Lucas turned his attencion towards Riley who had calmed down a little. "Are you ok?" Lucas asked concern filling his voice."Yeah don't worry. I'm used to it by now" Riley said looking at the floor. Lucas lifted up her head so she was looking at him in the eyes. "Has this happened before?" Lucas asked. Riley just nodded her head. "Don't worry. I promise this won't happen anymore" Lucas said staring at her big brown eyes. He kissed her forehead and walked away. After that Lucas kept on thinking about Riley the whole day and how his crush could affect his reputation. He came to a conclusion that he would try his best to ignore the crush. Meanwhile Riley was still astonished. She saw a part of Lucas that she had never seen before and she liked it.
