Riley looked at Maya waiting for her approval.
"So?" She was impatient, as always.
"My little plant is turning into a flower." Maya stood from her spot an the bed and hugged her bestfriend.
Riley walked outside to see a black GMC truck parked outside.
"This is your car?" Riley asked, confusion and surprise plastered on her face.
"Yep." Lucas said popping the 'p'.
He picked her up bridal style and sat her in the passanger's seat before sliding into the driver's seat. She laid her head on his shoulder the entire time, her hand interlocked with his.
"I love you, Lucas." she said
"I love you too, princess." He replied, then glanced at her.
"Can I show you something?" Lucas asked.
Riley nodded her head. He rolled down the windows, opened the sun roof, crancked the radio, and sped up down the highway. She gripped his hand as he drove so fast that she thought she was in a dream.
When they arrived at Prom, some girl came up to Lucas and hugged him.
Oh this is not going to be good, Riley thought.
