Chapter 12

(At the Matthews)
Riley was nervous as to what her father was going to say when she and Lucas entered the apartment holding hands but she loved Lucas and no amount of distance would change that. Riley took a deep breath and opened the apartment door. Waiting for her on the couch was Cory Matthews. "Were have you been and why are you with him. I told you your not allowed to be with him." Cory said sternly. He saw that they were holding hands. "Oh no you don't" Cory exclaimed while praying their hands apart. "Dad please listen to me.." Riley said. Cory finally gave in and listened to his daughter. "Dad I know this might sound crazy but I am in love with Lucas" Riley said sounding sincerely. "I know what you're thinking. I'm too young to be in love but love is when you can't live without that person. It hurts to even think about it" Riley continued. "I am in love with Lucas Frier" Riley said coming to the end of her confession. Lucas got up from where he was sitting and went next to Riley. "Mr. Matthews please I love your daughter. I would risk my life for her. Do whatever you want to me but please don't prevent me from seeing Riley " Lucas said. Cory could not believe what he was about to say but he wanted his daughter to be happy. "You two have my blessing" Cory said smiling. "Thank you, thank you daddy. I love you" Riley said giving her dad a bear hug. When they pulled away Cory left the living room because he knew what was going to happen next. Lucas and Riley looked at eachother. "Well now that I have your father's blessing, I guess there is only one more thing left to do." Lucas said getting closer to Riley. "Oh yeah and what is that" Riley asked closing the tiny gap between them. "Well I was wondering if...." Lucas said before he got on one knee and held onto one of Riley's hand. "Will you, Riley Matthews, do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" Lucas asked. Riley pretended to think. "Hmm....that I will do." Riley said a smile crawling onto her face. Lucas got up and kissed Riley passionately. She instantly kissed back. They pulled awy when air became extremely necessary. "I love you Lucas Frier" Riley said looking at her boyfriend.
"I love you Riley Matthews" Lucas said also looking at his girlfriend. They then kissed passionately again.
