The morning came too soon when you were awoken to the screams of people in the castle. Sitting up with a gasp I couldn't see why people were making my life even harder here, sleep was something I could only get occasionally with the screaming in my head limiting it. Being a necromancer isn't fun and games.
Rubbing my eyes and face, I turn and see the alarm clock saying it's 8 in the morning. Putting on my slippers I just leave my room in what I was wearing and head down to eat something. When I arrive many of the supernaturals are already here and eating. Many of them are wolves since they must still keep up with their workouts and training.
They all eye me while I grab some waffles and sit down at an empty table in a corner. They keep watching me as I eat and I can only wonder why. Before I can attempt to get up and leave and a man sits down beside me. He is very odd-looking when you get a first glance.
He has these soft purple eyes and a soft tan to his skin. You can see a great majority of scars on his body, some not as small as others. This hair was quite odd as well, his hair was blonde at the roots and a dark green everywhere else, much like if his roots were growing out.
He was quite tall, blocking me from all the others looking in on the situation. All he did was sit and smile at me and when I tried to get up he grabbed my arm and gently sat me back down. Just looking at my face you could tell I was about to beat this kid up for messing with me. The stares are bad enough.
And like he sensed it, he started talking. "Don't be so concerned, I am only over here to help you. But also because I was drawn into your beauty." He left me baffled and confused as to who he is.
"My name is Ryder and I am the leader of Tia Coven of witches. I am just curious as to why you smell of a certain vampire overlord who is roaming the halls of the castle." His smile never went away even as you spoke with a certain disdain towards the "vampire overlord".
Rubbing my eyes for a second time in the last thirty minutes I look back up to this stranger to try and explain what happened last night.
"I bumped into him while on my way to my room last night. That is all. Why are you all up into my business and why is everyone else also in my business." His smile seemed to turn into a face of understanding. He nodded his head at my answer but before he would leave he looked up behind me and smiled again.
"Well, this child smells like me because it seems I have found my beloved Ryder. Leave the poor child alone, she gets enough questioning as it is." The deep voice from behind me sent me rocketing out of my chair. Turning around I finally got to see the person I groped in the hallway by accident.
He was very tall, taller than the witch by a couple of inches. His skin was pale, fitting of a vampire and his red eyes looked at me with a certain type of wonder. His pitch-black hair was pushed back out of his face with his hands by the look of it.
His voice really did match the way he looked, handsome. It was then that his words sank into my skin, me, I was his beloved. This seemed almost impossible. I didn't get much time to think before the two men in front of me started to bicker.
"How are you to be her beloved if I am her love? Hmmmmm? There is no way, I felt my magic connect with hers. I am very certain she is mine." Ryder seemed to be lost in the connection between the three of us. But it seems the vampire friend had plenty to say on the matter.
"Clearly this seems to be a three-way mate situation, however, I can assure you she is my beloved. I felt it when she touched me last night, the way our souls connected. Although she has no way of knowing or not with you, one bite from me will send her on cloud nine for the rest of the day."
Throughout the conversation, I caught wind of the vampire's name, Elliot, and he was very much the "vampire overlord" Ryder made him out to be. They kept going back and forth on the matter till they settled on asking the Wise. They were the oldest of each supernatural and would be able to settle the matter.
They had settled this fight just minutes before the first meeting. When we were all called to the meeting I was happy since I knew I would get some peace away from them. In the meeting, you sat with your own kind. The meeting was about to start when I noticed how a pack of wolves was missing from one of the tables.
I thought nothing of it since there were many new faces and it was probably one of the new leaders who were late. Once all the other supernaturals were gathered around, the meeting started. I didn't pay attention to these types of meetings anyways since it normally had nothing to do with necromancers.
Staring off into the room, I could see a bunch of ghosts flooding into the room. I didn't think much of it since the land was old here until I would hear the vampires and werewolves smelling the air. Looking back at them they seemed unnerved by whatever they were smelling.
It was then that the door to the meeting room busted open werewolves of all sizes, genders, and ages came flying in covered head to toe in blood. The sight made my stomach curl at just how many people must have been dead to cover them in so much.
The last wolf to come running in was much bigger than the others, he must have been their alpha. He stopped in the middle of the room and began to shift back to his human form. When he was finally in human form after all the pops from his bones, the first thing he did was look at me.
