My blood was thrumming in my ears, nothing could be heard but the screams of the undead and the blood pumping through my body. I let that feeling guide me, telling me exactly how alive I am, without that it would be hard to remember.

The pile was slowly growing as the numbers dwindled. I myself have killed countless, the splatters of blood on my face ever-growing. The last one in front of me drops dead after a quick slice to his throat, and I look back at the others.

We are all sweating heavily, cuts and bruises covering our bodies but are alright. Even being so close to the castle we believe she is at, we cannot feel her. The castle is in worst shape than us, crumbling at some parts from the old design and powerful energy forcing it to crumble.

We all start running towards the castle. With the army they sent dead, this was our chance to get there and see what is happening. The run seems like forever, my heart still pumping painfully fast,

Waiting,

          Hoping

                    Wanting.

As they approach it, there is no one around that we can see. We can hear the screams but cannot pinpoint them, so we enter and desperately search. With Bentley, we follow the screams a little past the entrance of the castle.

The only dead around us is the guards protecting this place, maids can be seen running around, shrinking away from us. As we reach the room, we can see it was once a throne room many years ago. Now, it is only falling apart, some weird vine plant growing around the tumbled rocks.

Inside the bodies are piled up and the spirits are endless. We bust into the room and take a minute to gather what is happening. Ghosts, spirits, whatever you want to call them surrounding the room, waiting and hostile.

My aching heart beats impossible faster at the sight of my love there. Even though it was only been hours, days, I'm not sure, my body has missed her impossibly so.

She stands there, her appearance not what I remember it being. Her beautiful hair, growing impossibly more white than then few streaks, her hands pitch black. The inkiness growing up her arm at a slow pace. Although I cannot see her face, I know something is not right.

Gaia and Liam threw down their weapons and rushed over to her. Although I thought because they were concerned for their daughter, I could see the horror on Gaia's face knowing something isn't right.

All I could remember well was the castle shaking, my furry releasing from my body, and a promise of pain being whispered in my head towards this so-called king. That is when it all went downhill.

It was like being thrown to the back of my head, I could still see but my body wasn't my own for a while. I could see my inky fingertips growing further up my arm than what it normally does. My body throws the guards off of me, running at impossible speeds to the king.

Like a weasel, however, he moves before my body can grab him. In his place, the undead and guards have started to file into the small cell. My furry building, I see him start to walk away from me, muttering something to one of the guards.

"Sedate her and place her back into the cage." The guards walked out with him and they turn to me with vicious looks.

My vision bleeds a horrible black, seemingly deeming my vision. And after a brief pause, I watch as my body starts attacking in such a violent matter. Nothing was said between anyone but the screams of pain. I don't say a thing, whether from my body or my mind.

I watch it all as my body battles all the men, easily killing them and standing still like a zombie, waiting, searching. When a noise is heard, my head turns to the stairs I had just seen the king walk up. We follow the noise and walk slowly.

Guards walked in our path sometimes, easily killed by bashing their heads on the wall. Nothing stopped my body, nothing scaring it. The maids also try to stop me, their bodies shaking and tears streaking down their cheeks however it seems I wanted nothing to do with them and kept walking.

When I had reached the room the sounds were coming from, we had walked half of the castle. The thought unnerved me of just how I heard him from so far away. I enter the room quietly being ambushed by more guards.

Looking down, a dagger sticks out of my right side. Inside of my mind, I feel no pain from that, and my body says nothing, no grunt of pain followed as my body pulled the dagger from her side and uses it to slice the guard's throat.

As their first plan failed, the guards just started to attack at random again. Fighting, blood, and hatred, its was all present in this room along with the smug smirk from the king as he sat on his throne.

And so the battle continued, inside of my head I could see all the blood, all the bodies of the dead, and felt something deep in my chest. Uneasy?, no. Guilty?, no. All I knew was I needed to place these people to sleep in a final resting place, as I've always done for the dead.

As my body had finally gotten through all of the guards, we stalked slowly to the king. He still had that awful smirk on his face. Something about that had pissed me off terribly.

I heard some noise behind me but couldn't look to see what it was as I grabbed him by the throat and raised him off the ground. I could feel my body squeeze tightly, with no anger behind it, no feelings. My body did not feel like my own as I watched the light start to leave his eyes. He didn't try to fight me, and I wondered why.

Footsteps behind me are what I could hear, faint cries falling blank on my ears for some reason. And while my mind was distracted by the people behind me, I didn't see the king pull out a small dagger and aim it toward me.

My body was pushed from in front of the king, feeling no pain as I hit the floor. A grunt of pain rang out from behind me, one I know all too well. For the first time, I can feel my heart beating in this state. My body is aware of who that grunt belonged to, feeling for it.

Tears run down my eyes, face, and throat as I turn around and see for the first time in a long time what has just happened through my actual body.
