Escaping Team Rocket - A Leaf x Female Reader Fanfic

Chapter Two - "Golbat, use vine whip!"

You woke up to yourself being tied up in a wooden chair. You still had the cloth tied around your face, so you couldn't speak. You wiggled in the chair, trying to get free. But where could you even run if you got free? The room you are in has black walls and a door of the same color. It also had wooden flooring, but nothing else.

"Mmph!" You tried to speak, but you couldn't. You then heard voices. They sounded like they were outside of the room you were in.

"Sir, she is awake." Said voice one.

"Go in there and her, then! We will not waste any time." Said voice two.

"Yes sir." Said voice one.

You then heard a doorknob turn, and the door of your room opened.

"Mmph!"

The figure walked closer so you could get a good look at them. They had long ash brown hair, with eyes that matched her hair color. She was also wearing a team rocket uniform, which made you nervous. Were you kidnapped by team rocket?

"I wouldn't try talking if I were you." Said the girl, undoing the ties around your wrists.

Once you were untied, you stood up. You still had the scratchy feeling on your wrists and ankles from the ropes, but you didn't mind. When you tried to walk, you stumbled and almost fell.

"Follow me." Said the girl, walking out of the room.

You still couldn't talk since you had the cloth around your mouth, but you followed her anyway. The girl led you out of the room and to a different room. It has multiple different team rocket uniforms. White ones, black ones, some with hats, too. There was even a uniform that is completely red.

"Change into this." Said the girl, handing you the same uniform she was wearing.

"Here?" You asked, looking around for a changing room.

"Does it look like there is a changing room here?" Asked the girl, impatient.

"No..." You said, turning around from the girl to change into your uniform.

You put on the black team rocket uniform with the big red R on it. It wasn't the comfiest outfit, but you could deal with it. You turned around to see the girl still standing where she was, her arms crossed.

"Are you done?" She asked impatiently.

"Yes, I'm done." You replied bluntly.

The girl walked over somewhere to get you a hat, so your outfit is complete. You placed the hat on your head and followed the girl out of the outfit room.

The girl led you to a room with a big man sitting at his desk. He was petting a Persian, stroking it on its back.

"Hello, Leaf. Who is this?" He asked, looking at the two girls.

You felt nervous in his presence, which made your hands sweat again. Who was this man? Would he tell you why you are here?

"This is the new one I was told to bring here." Leaf replied.

The mysterious man nodded.

"I see. You are now excused."

"Yes sir." Said Leaf bowing, then exiting the room.

"Take a seat." Said the man, motioning to a seat near his desk.

You cautiously took a couple of steps to the chair you were instructed to sit at. Why did this man need to talk to you? What did that girl mean by the new one? You sat down, folding your hands on your lap.

"Now," said the mysterious man. "Do you know why you are here?"

You shook your head, saying no.

"My name is Giovanni, and I am the boss of Team Rocket." Said Giovanni, still petting his Pokémon companion.

"We, Team Rocket, are a criminal organization who steal rare Pokémon." Explained Giovanni.

Your hands started to sweat again. Would you have to steal Pokémon? You never thought of doing such a thing in your life. You loved and cared for Pokémon, even if you didn't have one. You would never steal a Pokémon.

"Our goal is to eventually take over the world." Said Giovanni, folding his hands on his desk.

"T-Take over the world?" You said, a little stunned. How could someone possibly take over the world?

"Yes, take over the world. Therefore, that is why we took you. You could help us take over the world! Join us!"

"I-I will join you." You replied. You didn't want to think of what would happen if you said no.

"Great. Your training starts today."

"Okay." You replied. Giovanni looked like a powerful man. He was sure intimidating.

Giovanni stood out of his seat, signaling for you to stand up too, and follow him. He led you to a room that was filled with team rocket grunts and their Pokémon, training.

"Since you have already met Leaf, I will let her be your guide." Said Giovanni. "I will leave you on your own now."

Giovanni left the room, swiftly closing the door behind him. You took a deep breath and walked towards the grunts. You saw Leaf's ash brown hair and walked towards her. Leaf hasn't been so nice to you, so you were scared about how it would go her the girl to be your guide.

"H-Hello?" You said loud enough so Leaf could hear you through all the noise.

Leaf turned around in your direction.

"Hey! You could see I was training with my Venasuar!" She said, before realizing it was you standing before her.

"Oh... It's you." She said, wiping a strand of hair from her face. "What do you want?"

"Uh... Giovanni told me you were going to be my guide." You replied. Everyone in Team Rocket is sure intimidating.

"Oh, I see." Said Leaf, returning her Pokémon to its Poke ball. "Follow me this way."

Leaf led you to a rack of Poke balls.

"All of these poke balls here have Poison-type Pokémon in them. That is the main type of Pokémon we use here."

Leaf handed you a poke ball.

"Have you battled with a Pokémon before?"

You tried to remember when you had a Pokémon. You remember you befriended a friendly Growlithe when you were little, but you never battled with Pokémon.

"No." You replied, looking at the poke ball in your hand.

"Okay, let's go to a battleground." Said Leaf, going to a spot in the room with white markings on the floor.

"Go, Venasuar!" Said Leaf, throwing her Poke ball in the air, letting out a Pokémon with a pink flower on it come out.

"Now you try." Said Leaf.

"Go...!" You said, throwing the poke ball into the air, letting out a blue bat-looking Pokémon with purple wings. It was a Golbat.

Without any warning, Leaf attacked with her Pokémon. "Venasuar, use vine whip!"

The Pokémon's vines from its body slammed onto your Golbat, hurting it.

"Now you attack." Instructed Leaf.

"Uh..." You didn't know what moves your Golbat knew. "Use vine whip!"

Golbat sat there in the air, confused. Leaf sighed.

"Golbat doesn't know vine whip!" She said, returning Venasuar into its poke ball.

You did the same, placing Golbat's poke ball back onto the shelf.

"You will get the hang of it soon, don't worry." Said Leaf sympathetically.

You nodded, smiling a bit.

"I'll show you, our room. We share with two other people, though."

You nodded, following Leaf to your room. You think this experience in Team Rocket will be an interesting experience.
