Chapter Three - Forming a plan

"Here is your bed." Said Leaf, pointing to the bottom bunk of a bunk bed. "I already have top bunk."

You nodded. The bedroom was a simple design, with two bunk beds made of wood with white bedsheets. There wasn't much else to the room. There was a bathroom connected to the bedroom, which made you sigh in relief knowing you had a bathroom.

Leaf glanced away from you as if she was thinking about something.

"Can I trust you?" She asked hesitantly.

"Yeah?" You replied. What does she mean?

"Alright, follow me before our roommates come back." Leaf said while grabbing something from under her pillow.

"A rope?" You said, confused about why Leaf was pulling a rope out from under her pillow.

"Yes, this is a rope." She said, climbing down from the bed with the rope in her hand. "Just wait."

Leaf walked to a corner of the room, then threw the rope to the ceiling. Was there a hole in the ceiling? You walked to Leaf and looked up. Yes, there was a hole in the ceiling!

"Now we climb up the rope." Said Leaf, already climbing up the rope.

You followed her, climbing up the rope too. When you got to the top, you realized you were on the rooftop of the team rocket building. It was dark out, with many stars in the sky. You looked around, astounded by the great view of the city lights.

"It's pretty, isn't it?" Said Leaf, taking a seat on the roof.

"Yeah..." You said, sitting next to her.

"What's your name?" Asked Leaf, looking at you.

She was being nicer to you than earlier. It was quite odd.

"Uh... Y/N."

"Oh, that's a nice name!' Said Leaf, smiling a bit. Then her little smile went away.

"You know, Y/N, I never have wanted to be here." She said, looking at the city lights.

You were shocked. What did she mean she didn't want to be here? She acted like everyone else, and she seemed completely fine when you were with her earlier, even if she was not so nice to you.

"Nobody wants to be here..." She continued, hugging her knees to her chest.

You looked away, feeling guilty for everyone there.

"We... We can escape." You said. You didn't actually think it was possible to escape, since Giovanni is such a powerful man. He would never let that happen.

Leaf's eyes brightened up. "You are right! We can escape!"

"What will we do after we escape?" You asked. You always have to have a plan if you want to escape.

"Well... I have friends in pallet town who can let us stay at their place... Even if I haven't seen them for years." Said Leaf, thinking hard. "Oh! We can also go against Giovanni and set everyone else free!" She said, excited.

Your eyes now lit up, too.

"Great idea!"

The two of you went back down to your bedroom, with your two roommates sleeping in their bunk bed. You went asleep in the bottom bunk when leaf collected her rope and tucked it under her pillow. The two of you couldn't really sleep though with all your excitement.

Your plan was to escape tomorrow.
