CHAPTER 29

A WEEK LATER.

TAYLOR'S POV

My mouth was back to its normal self, thanks to all my loved ones. As for Bella, she decided to give me a chance, and I was so happy, at last, I was given a chance to make things right and to win her heart over, all I needed was to talk with Linda. I waited for her in a cafe, she was taking too long that I had to call her but then she walked in, wearing a revealing top and a miniskirt.

She had too much makeup on that made her look like one of those fairytale witches in a cartoon movie.

Why couldn't I see all the flaws in her? My Bella was far better than her.

  " Hey baby. " She greeted as she sat opposite me.

  " Hello Linda. " I answered back, she looked shocked first.

  " Why the formality baby? "

  " Linda, am not your baby please. You do know I have a name right? "

  " Whoa, that's weird but I don't need to call you by your name, I mean I am your girlfriend. "

  " Yeah about that, I want us to break up. " I dropped the bombshell, she didn't say a word and I was eager to know her answer, " Say something, Linda. "

She chuckled then laughed so loudly that I got so embarrassed because people's attention was now on us.

  " You're joking, right? "

  " No, I am not. See Linda, we still have a long way to go and I have found my mate... "

  " How is that my problem? Why do I get to take the punishment for the offense we both committed? Have you forgotten your promise, huh? That you would never leave me for anyone. We've been dating for two years Taylor, two damn years, I gave everything to you, my body, my time, I even gave up James for you, and now because you have found one silly mate, you are ready to forget everything. " She paused for a while then continued, "Now listen carefully Taylor Eugene, I ain't breaking up with you, got it? I met you first so I have to stay with you, you are mine and I am yours, I won't allow anyone to come between us not even Bella.

Don't call me for such nonsense ever again, excuse me. " She walked away in anger without even listening to what I had to say.

  " This is a total mess. " I said to myself.

BELLA'S POV

The school was going great and our examinations were fast approaching so teachings were less and studying was becoming frequent.

I didn't want to flunk any of my subjects not that I was a student with straight A's.
We just finished maths class, I had maths with Taylor, obviously since he changed his schedule to meet mine and James.

The tension was too much because James was sitting beside me so also Taylor and the glaring was not so great. Thankfully the bell rang to signal the end of the class.

  " Okay baby, I will have to leave now. " Taylor held my hand.

  " But why? Where are you going to? " I asked.

  " I have a meeting at exactly 10 am sharp and the issue is about security so I need to leave. I will text you okay? And also copy your notes and assignments if there are any. " he winked at me and I laughed.

  " Naughty you. "

  " I am only naughty for you so I don't mind getting na... "

  " Get going Taylor, you are going to be late. " I interrupted.

  " Alright, am going but before I go, can I kiss your forehead? "

  " Sure. " he kissed me on my forehead.

  " Bye. " he waved

" Take care. " I smiled and turned to leave when I saw James with a book in his hands. He didn't look happy and he was distancing himself from me, I could feel it.

Whenever I came to their house, he'd always find a way to leave sometimes under the pretext he was going to watch a match. He didn't text me like he always do. He turned to leave.

  " James. " I stopped him, " What is wrong with you? What the hell is going on? " I asked.

  " What do you mean? And why are you asking me such questions? " he asked back.

  " Don't try to reply to my question with another round of questions James. You have been ignoring me since I accepted Taylor into my life. "

  " Please Bella, whatever you do isn't my problem any longer, since you have Taylor in your life as you said earlier, I don't think you need me any longer," he said.

  " No James, you are my friend, the closest of all my friends, I need you. "

  " I don't think so Bella, I told you Taylor will only harm you. "

  " Why would he? He is my mate. "

  " Even if he is your mate, I can tell you that you are going to regret this decision of yours and when you do, don't come back running to me for help. " he left me looking flustered.
