CHAPTER 46.

BELLA'S POV.

Dinner time soon arrived and Joy came knocking on my door.

  " Yo, what is up? " I said from my room.

  " Dinner is ready. Mom wants you down in two. " She informed me.

  " Okay, on my way. " I replied.

I stood up from my bed and wore my slippers then headed downstairs for dinner.

  " Hey, dad. " I kissed my dad and he smiled at me.

  " You look, lively dear. " I sat opposite my brother this time since he had his pregnant wife beside him. Luckily for them, the mate bond worked unlike that of me and Taylor.

  " Am back with my family, so what do you expect? " I replied.

  " Just good to see you again after so long. Just so happy. " My mum scooped some spaghetti on my plate while I picked my fork and devoured it with my might.

  " You'd better ear with care Bella, you don't wanna choke while eating. " Jason cautioned and I grinned.

  " Don't give me that creepy grin. " he retorted.

  " Whoa, seems you being a father of an unborn child had changed the senseless part of you. " I joked.

  " You better stop talking or else I will choke you myself," he warned.

  " Yeah right. " I teased him further.

 
Joy and I cleared the table while my parents went to the living room.

  " So, how was life in City B? " Joy asked as I wiped the water off the rinsed plates while my brother did his juggling.

  " Great but I had to take up a teaching job there to help Aunt. Gosh, those kids can be annoying. " I said.

  " Yeah, I know. "

There was silence among us as we busied ourselves with the work and thoughts. I was wondering if I should ask after the four.

  " So, when last did you communicate with James? " Jason finally broke the silence.

  " I communicated with him last week. " I answered.

  " He went for a business trip, he is now taking over the Alpha's duties as well as Taylor. " Joy said and we both locked eyes with each other, she was staring at me, awaiting my reaction but I gave none.

  " I didn't ask you about Taylor. " I said.

  " Yeah, I know you didn't but I needed to tell you so your heart can function properly. " Joy said.

  " Thanks. " I snorted.

  " Look here Bella, this has to end. You need to do the right thing and stop distancing yourself. " She pushed forward.

  " Joy, can we not talk about this please? I just arrived and I need to be free from this. Excuse me. " I left their midst immediately.

  " Bella. "

  " Just let her be. " I heard Jason restrain her.

I joined my parents in the sitting room and had some discussions on what I was going to do and where I would start working but the majority of the talks weren't even in my head cause I was thinking about Taylor. Was he okay? What would be his reaction if he saw me?

Here is it guys, another chapter but it's the only one I can, unfortunately, write now cause am tired now 😩.

I don't even have an outline for it but I just decided to write it so bear with me the mistakes and the unplanned events or twists😟😟😟😟😟
