Chapter 11: The Playdate

That day, Kevin decided to ask Izzy if they wanted to hangout.
He ran into Izzy in the cafeteria and asked," Um,Hi there,w-want to hangout?" and Izzy replied,"Sure,why not?" Kevin was full of joy.
"How about we head to the palace this weekend? I am the prince..." Kevin asked giddily.
Izzy smiled and replied excitedly,"Sure,that would be awesome!"
That weekend,they headed to the palace with permission. The Golden Knight picked them up in his limo.
"Who's this beautiful little girl?" he asked kindly. Izzy giggled.
"How old are you?" Kevin asked,worried he had asked a 4 year old to come over.
"Nine." she replied,and Kevin sighed in relief.
"Kevin's the same age!" Andrew exclaimed,and Kevin frowned.
At the palace,the Archer Queen hugged Kevin.
"You're back,I'm so excited!" the Archer Queen exclaimed,embarrassing Kevin.
"Yeah,yeah,I missed you too," he said lamely.
They went inside. There was pizza prepared for them.
"You'll love my mom's pizza," Kevin told Izzy,drooling. The Archer Queen smiled at them.
Izzy tasted the pizza and exclaimed,"This is so delicious!"
"Sorry for defeating you," Kevin blurted out. Everyone turned to him.
"No biggie,I won my second chance." Izzy told him in reply,shrugging.
After they ate,Kevin asked,"Want to play video games?"
"Sure,sounds fun!" Izzy replied,and they ran upstairs. Unfortunately,Andrew followed them.
"Andrew,would you please leave us alone?" Kevin asked angrily.
"Nope!" he replied. Kevin frowned. Kevin slapped Andrew in the face.
Izzy gasped. "Why would you do that?!" she asked,horrified.
"Don't worry, if you had a sibling you would understand." Kevin chuckled. "How do you know that I don't have siblings?" Izzy asked.
"Because if you did, you wouldn't be surprised that I slapped Andrew." Kevin told Izzy.
"Oh." Izzy laughed. Andrew was completely red and slapped Kevin back. Then they got into a slapping fight.
"Izzy,join in!" Kevin exclaimed. Eventually they knocked Andrew down.
"What are you guys doing?" the Archer Queen asked angrily.
"I-uhm-nothing," Kevin replied,chuckling. Izzy giggled.
"Go to your room and play a board game or that video game you wanted to show Izzy." the Archer Queen ordered,and the two went up to Kevin and Andrew's room while Andrew decided to spend time in the royal garden.
Kevin started his Clashtendo Switch and asked,"Which game do you want to play?"
"Could it be a game about ice wizards?" Izzy replied,and Kevin told her,"Okay." He put on Ice Freeze,a game about freezing the enemies. The character was an ice wizard. Izzy was really good at it.
"Man,I've always been bad at this game," Kevin murmured,trying to beat Izzy's high score.
"You're doing good enough for not knowing much about an ice wizard," Izzy remarked,and they both laughed.
"We should hang out together like this another time!" Izzy suggested,and Kevin nodded his head in agreement.
After playing a few more video games, the two had to return to the academy.
The Archer Queen hugged Kevin and murmured,"Have a good time at your school,"
"Thanks," Kevin told his mom.
"And Izzy,you should come over more often." his mom smiled at the two,and they departed.
"Why did your parents act normal?" Izzy asked randomly as they climbed into the limo.
"They're just like that," Kevin replied coldly,and remained quiet the whole ride. Kevin warmed up after that,and the two said bye to each other. Izzy hugged Kevin before they left,and Kevin felt embarrassed. His face turned the color of a ramberry, Then she ran up the stairs to her dorm.

At that moment,Kevin realized Andrew was right. He DID like Izzy. For her appearance and who she was. Kevin went upstairs to his dorm.
