*Luca's pov*

Luca woke up in the dark. He looked around, struggling to sit up, what with Alberto's arms around his waist. He was surrounded by pillows and blankets, almost engulfing him. He looked over at Giulia's little clock on her night stand. 3:47am. Luca groaned quietly, lying back down, snuggling into Alberto's chest.

It was now 4am. Luca felt wide awake. He lay there. watching Alberto's chest rise and fall as he breathed deeply in his sleep. 4:30am. Luca looked out the window, staring at the moon. It was almost a perfect crescent. The stars were bright tonight, too. Why not go onto the hideout? It would have a good view of the stars, and he hadn't been up there since last summer, AND it was probably the place he cherished most in the whole Portorosso.

He slid out of Alberto's arms, silently opening Giulia's window, and jumped onto the moss-covered tree branch connecting her room to the platform. He t-posed while walking, trying to balance himself better. One he was all the way across, he alt down on the planks, giggling slightly to himself.

"It's been a while" he whispered, looking at the planks. He thought back that when he sat here last. It had been the second-last day of his visit, he was sitting there, crossed legged with a books on his lap, with Alberto laying down, he hands behind his head, next to Luca. They were sitting in a comfortable silence, when Luca spoke up.

*flashback*

"So I was wondering.."

"..Yeah?" Alberto said, looking up at him, propping himself up on his elbows.

"Well, Giulia and I call you Beto, and we call Giulia Giuls sometimes, but I've never had a name like that. Why don't I?" he questioned.

"Oh! Well that's an easy one" Alberto answered, sitting up "Well, for starters your name's too short, and uh, I like Luca...it's a- a pretty name."

Luca face palmed, remembering how much he has blushed at the time.

"Thank you." he said quietly, locking eyes with Alberto "You know, they taught us about the meanings of names in school once. I got curious and searched up our names."

"Oh yeah? And what does mine mean?"

Luca flushed slightly "Bright, a-and noble" he said, smiling.

He saw Alberto smirk "Describes me perfectly" he joked, flexing his biceps. Luca just about managed to hide his flustered expression. He chuckled "I think it does, actually. Pretty well" Little did he know, Alberto would cherish that sentence for the entire year.

He looked over at Alberto, who was smiling. "T-thank you." he said.

"What does your name mean?" he asked, after a few minutes.

"Bringer of light." he chuckled "Sounds kind of pathetic, right?"

"Are you kidding?" Alberto said, grabbing his fingers. "I think you light up the room whenever you walk in it. And you're always giggling, smiling, being sweet. I think it fits you pretty damn well."

Luca felt like screaming when he said that "Y-you really think so?" he stuttered.

"Yeah." They sat there for a little bit, just looking at eachother. Luca suddenly realised he was staring and looked away.

"Giulia means youthful. She got very annoyed when I laughed at that, but it's true! She has the humour of a child. I think she should've taken it a a compliment, honestly." Luca said after a minute.

Alberto laughed "Yeah, that sounds about right."

*end of flashback*

"Luca?" He was dragged away from his memories as Alberto called his name.
