Chapter 10

*Alberto's pov*

Alberto felt like he was floating. He kissed Luca with a gentle passion, and to his surprise, Luca kissed back.

He broke away slowly, gazing into Luca's dazzled eyes.

"...I love you too, Alberto. So much. Probably more than I'd like to admit." Luca confessed, his arms still around Alberto's neck.

Alberto smiled like an idiot, before pulling Luca back in for a another kiss, this time, a more sure, love-filled kiss.

They broke away, smiling at each other.
"I love you." the both sighed at the same time. Luca giggled, looking away.

"...What..does this make us?" he asked, looking back at Alberto.

Alberto hesitated before speaking, he didn't want to rush Luca. "...It makes us want you want us to be." he replied.

"..Well, in that case then, Alberto Scorfano-Marcovaldo, would you like to be my boyfriend?"

Alberto's heart felt too full. He couldn't believe it. Luca Paguro, the love of his life, wanted to be his boyfriend.

"I would love too." he smiled, before kissing Luca's hair and sitting down, cuddling him.

They sat there in a comfortable silence, before Luca broke it, giggling.

"What?" Alberto laughed.

"Sorry, I just... I just can't believe you're my boyfriend." he said, pecking Alberto's jawline.

Alberto smiled down at Luca, one arm around him.
"I feel the same, tesoro." he breathed.

Luca blushed, hiding his face. "Aww come on, don't hide your face now~" Alberto said, taking him by the chin and kissing him.

They broke away, falling into silence once again, just looking at the stars.

Alberto gazed at Luca "You're so pretty." he said with a smile.

Luca's face was flushed again, but this time he cuddled closer to Alberto.

"So are you, tesoro. And handsome.' Luca replied. 'You're perfect. You try hard to make a good impression it's everyone, you're funny, you're social, you care about everyone, you're strong, you're pretty.. very pretty." he smiled.

Alberto couldn't get over himself. He grinned like an idiot, and pulled Luca even closer to him.

"You're too sweet.' he said, kissing Luca's head.

They sat quietly for a moment before Luca spoke up.

"Sooo~' Luca said, nudging Alberto 'How long have you liked meee~"

It was Alberto's turn to blush and get flustered. He covered his face with hands "Oh my god, since far too long ago."' he laughed.

"When?? How old were we?" Luca asked.

Alberto laugh, lying down, pulling Luca with him. "Well, don't tell anyone this, but before we'd met, I'd sometimes go and watch on you on your little farm, with the fish. You were so adorable, I just sat there, for most of the day, watching you. You almost caught me a couple of times, actually. Then, when I finally went over to 'meet' you and pulled you out the water, I thought you looked even cuter in your human form. That's why I made all that stuff up, I wanted to impress you.' he chuckled, looking up at the stars before continuing 'I'd always kind of liked you, but I'd never really realised it, but by the time I was 16 I was sure of it, and.. that slowly grew into love."

"What?!' Luca said, his mouth agape 'You STALKED me as a 14 year old?" he laughed.

"Don't say it like that!' Alberto laughed 'Come on, I've told you, so now you tell me. How long have you liked me?" he smirked. facing Luca.

"Oh, well, I don't think I knew I had a crush on you until I was 14, but it grew into love last year, when I was 16." he breathed.

"Aww, look at you, all red~" Alberto teased.

"Hey! At least I didn't STALK you!" Luca laughed.

"True, true.' Alberto chuckled '..Would you like to sleep here tonight? Now that there's a bed." he asked

"Yeah!' Luca replied, sitting up.

Alberto sat up with him, gazing at Luca.

"..Berto?" Luca asked, after a small silence.

"I just can't believe you're mine now" Alberto breathed.

Luca giggled, before climbing onto Alberto's lap and kissing him.

Alberto kissed back, passionately, less gentle this time. He slowly started to kiss down Luca's neck, sucking on the spot where his shoulder met his neck.

"Alberto~!" Luca gasped.

"Are you okay with this?" Alberto asked.

Luca nodded before Alberto continued.

"Berto~" Luca half-moaned, before bringing Alberto's face back up to kiss him.

Alberto broke away, smirking at the mark he'd left.

"You're lucky most of the shirts I own cover that." Luca said, pushing Alberto's face. Alberto laughed, cuddling up to his boyfriend.

"Tell me more about the stars" he said.

Luca's eye lit up "Well, as I was saying earlier, there's Vega and Altair, which are part of Cygnus the swam, I like them.."

Alberto stopped listening, instead, he just watched Luca talk passionately about what he loved most.(besides alberto (; ) He was so perfect, he could sit there forever, just watching him. Alberto broke out of his trance, listening to what Luca had to say again.

They spent their evening looking through the telescope, Alberto learning and laughing at Luca's enthusiasm, going through astronomy books, and cuddling, watching the stars.

It only just occurred to Alberto that the sun had set at least 3 hours ago, it was getting late. Luca was basically asleep in his arms.

"Tesoro' he said shaking Luca lightly 'come on, it's time to get to bed, I don't wanna drop you carrying you down the stairs."

"You wouldn't." Luca protested groggily, but stood up anyway.

They went down to the new bed Alberto had fixed into place earlier that year, and Luca was out like a lamp, cuddled next to Alberto.

Alberto smiled at him, kissing his nose "Ti amo, Luca."

"Anch'io ti amo, Berto." he said sleepily.

And with that, Alberto was asleep.
