24. rain...again

Nini's flight finally landed after a long and excruciating 10 and a half hours. As much as she tried to sleep, her body wouldn't allow her to.

She didn't know if it was the fact that her fake relationship with Ricky would end in a number of hours and she was nervous how the fans would react, or the jet lag that she had.

Either way, her body simply wouldn't shut down which is super weird for Nini.

She took in the fresh air of home before going to get her bags from the baggage claim.

She had fun in Paris and she loved it there, but there's nothing like home.

Kourtney was set to pick her up from the airport since she didn't want I bother Ricky. He already dropped her off and she thought it would be asking too much for him to pick her up too.

Nini spotted her bag which was even more full than when she went to Paris. It was filled with little souvenirs for her friend, and different clothes she knew she'd never be able to find anywhere else.

Nini spent a pretty penny while in Paris, but she didn't mind since it'd be a while until she goes back.

"I wish I had Ricky here to carry this" she mumbled as she struggled to carry the heavy bag through the airport.

The downside of overpacking is how heavy the bag actually is and the struggle to carry it through the airport.

Nini internally celebrated when she received a text from Kourtney saying that she was there. The first thing Nini was going to do when she got home was plop onto the bed and sleep like a baby.

She was almost positive that Jen wouldn't surprise her with any meetings so she was safe.

"It's so ugly out here. It looks like it's about to rain" Nini said as she put her bags into the car.

"That's because it is about to rain, which is weird because it almost never rains here" Kourtney said

"I know, and it's so weird because it feels like it just rained. I wonder what's going on that we're getting rain like this"

Kourtney shrugged "who knows, but let's get home before it starts. The last thing we need is to get caught in the rain" Kourtney said before putting the car in drive, and pulling off. "So how was Paris?"

"It was so beautiful and elegant. It was like a dream Kourt. But I missed Ricky. A-and you, and Ashlyn and Gina and everyone else" she said. She tried to play off that she initially was only going to mention Ricky but it didn't work very well.

Kourtney raised an eyebrow "what's going on with you and Ricky Ni?"

"Nothing" she sighed "can I tell you something?" Nini turned in her seat to face Kourtney.

"Anything"

"The night that me and Ricky talked things out and we became friends, we almost kissed" she admitted

"What! Nini! Why didn't you tell me!? We tell each other everything!"

"The day after it happened I tried to talk to Ricky about it but apparently he forgot about it. It wasn't a memorable moment for him so I wanted to act like it never happened which is what we've been doing. Ricky doesn't look at me in the romantic way which is fine with me."

"But do you look at him that way?"

"Even if I did, I cant allow myself to Kourt. For the sake of our friendship"

"You cant invalidate your feelings though Nini. If you like Ricky you need to admit it to yourself and possibly him. You shouldn't just push it off. Is the friendship worth you being unhappy because you somehow fell for Ricky? This fake relationship is gonna end soon and he'll be free to be with other girls. Are you gonna sit back and watch him fall for another girl when you've known you've had feelings for him for a while now?"
